// 4.7 spoilers I haven’t been here in a long time, but: I have been vindicated by Bedtime Story. The Sinner is Vedrfolnir, Dainsleif’s ‘brother’— and who better than his sibling to narrate his very own introduction post via prophecy, as “the Visionary”?
Zaura | natlan enthusiast@EmanatingAuras

// Genshin spoilers After completing the Archon Quest Caribert, I noticed something: That the “self-proclaimed prophet” in Dainsleif’s introduction and “the one who understands fate” in the description for Caribert actually use the exact same term, just translated differently.

The lyrics of “Anthem of the Savannah”, Natlan’s new battle theme, are DIRECTLY TAKEN FROM THE AGNIDUS AGATE GEMSTONE. Oh my god.

With all that being said, why is Teyvat safe? The Narwhal is a being “from another world” that has infiltrated Teyvat. Surely, this means other worlds know of Teyvat, and in accordance with the Dark Forest hypothesis, they should have already destroyed Teyvat preemptively.

@skating_scooter Any large bookstore near you should carry the English translation in the science fiction section :D “Three Body Problem” by Cixin Liu and its two sequels, “the Dark Forest” and “Death’s End”

The All-Devouring Narwhal’s description suggests the universe outside Teyvat may be teeming with life, yet paradoxically, none of them have made contact with Teyvat. This is the cosmological principle of the Dark Forest hypothesis, which may explain why Teyvat has a firmament.

@_Exuberant_ This is described in Before Sun and Moon and Neuvillette’s character stories: PO won against the dragons, then waged war against a “second who came”, which caused mass destruction. We don’t know what happened after except they made the Gnoses out of the Third Descender’s remains.

@_Exuberant_ Based on working evidence, (most likely) Phanes won against the Second Who Came. He wouldn’t have colonised his own civilisation, but prevented it from being colonised by other forces.

@jinx3155 We don’t know 😭 Teyvat is a continent (Version 1.0 CN says “welcome to Teyvat continent”) but we don’t know whether it qualifies as an entire world/universe on its own for multiverse theories

@_Exuberant_ It’s suggested here, and assumed based on existing lore, that Phanes/Primordial One is the current Celestia. Which may or may not be true, but lines up with what Nahida said about the First Descender

@EmanatingAuras I don’t think it worked considering the original civilization phanes built got colonized by modern Celestia.

@LukynkaCze I talk about this in the thread! The first descender (heavenly principles) probably erected the firmament first. The dark forest principle is therefore averted because civilisations outside teyvat cannot destroy it— only observe, like Otto with Dvalin.

@fuemoon I do happen to know about the hoyoverse at large! (I played Honkai Impact for a brief time.) While the Imaginary Tree and Sea of Quanta certainly factor into this somehow, I’m not sure enough of Teyvat’s universe structure to add these elements to my theories.

@EmanatingAuras Not all the worlds call "honkai" as honkai. It also was called "The abyss" and "The shadow" in other civilizations, not all civilizations have the same vocabulary. So we might have honkai in genshin and never call it honkai at all.

Don’t you like it when you get to use all of the characters you’ve pulled over time instead of restricting yourself to Rational/Neuvillette hypercarry etc. for endgame content? My Gaming, Wriothesley etc. are grateful for the opportunity to be used.
тαℓα ✩*.゚ 𝓈𝓉𝒶𝓇 𝑔𝑜𝒹𝒹𝑒𝓈𝓈@talavt_

I saw someone say it and I totally agree: Imaginarium Theater rewards you for horizontal investment (more built characters > more single character constellations) while the Spiral Abyss more often than not rewards vertical investment (two hypercarry teams can take you very far).

Some clarifications: the “civilisations must destroy each other” is a conclusion derived from the axioms “survival is paramount to civilisation”, and “growth is endless, but resources are finite.” Some excerpts from the book to clarify this (SPOILERS!):
