On 7 May, Ambassador MICHII attended a plaque ceremony for the Atomic Bomb Survivor Tree at British School in the NL. He reflected on the immense suffering caused by the atomic bombings and expressed his hope that the message of peace will continue to be carried forward.

On Mar. 23, a 🌳planting ceremony was held in Tilburg to commemorate its friendship with Minami-Ashigara (a sister city) and 🇯🇵. Chargé d'Affaires a.i. NAKANO planted a Japanese zelkova alongside Mayor Gräper and former acting Mayer Hoes. Pic. 1, 2 & 4 were taken by Joris Buijs.
