@bencsin I agree, they could do what they want, they would never be accepted. But it's sad that they're leaving Europe as well. No OnePlus Open 2... Still using the Open, it can even compete in 2026, except for the battery.

But I heard a lot of nitpicks. Like "no wireless charging" "It *needs be more* than just $200 cheaper than Samsung fold to make sense" When I read that level of nitpicking I was like "OnePlus ain't ever gonna win over this crowd, man" So ... it's good OnePlus is leaving.

I haven't commented much on the OnePlus leaving US thing but I will say this: the OnePlus open, at time of release, was by far the best foldable selling in US. If you break down what makes a good phone into 10 categories the Open beats Samsung and googles fold 9/10 categories

@Ismail_Owolab Ah, so if it doesn't suit your narrative, it doesn't count. I've had their Ultra phones for years, never experienced anything likes what you claim here, so it very much counts. Instead of whining about it here, why don't you just switch to another brand? You're clearly not happy

Reviewers like this and those who daily drive an iPhone are reason Samsung released the same phone They get review units that have been highly optimized, create lots of buzz, Samsung sells millions and end users are left with phones that can't get 5 hours of SOT on full charge

@Ismail_Owolab I had them, don't have them anymore now. I jumped ship, because their Ultra's weren't doing it anymore. But to say they did what you wrote here... No, that's not it at all.

@daniel_scuteri As with everything, you can only judge it when you actually experienced it. I remember that too, and I couldn't really tell a difference between the S24 U and S23U. I didn't compare them side by side, sold the S23U, but that's how it is for most people, they'd only have 1 phone.

Cast your mind back to 2024, when the S24 Ultra came out. I remember a narrative was that the anti-reflective coating was "making the screen worse" and people said it they wanted that feature to just "get a screen protector." Fast forward 2 years and the exact same narrative is being spun about the privacy display. Almost word for word.

@daniel_scuteri Not surprised with this, Samsung has always been good with optimisation of their software and battery. Of course not all builds are the same, Samsung are only human too, but I remember from my S23 Ultra, that I couldn't kill it, even if I tried.

It's hard to believe this is still 5000mAh capacity
