Happy 63rd birthday to the love of my life, Oluremi. My trusted partner in every venture, and the one special person who has consistently filled my days with joy and laughter over 36 amazing years. Today is not only a day to mark another year of your purposeful life but a beautiful reminder of the journey we have embarked upon together. Through all these years, we have shared in the uncertainty of dangerous, but principled stands against tyranny. Many can not fully appreciate the sacrifices you made for us during that harrowing, dark era, but I do and always will. We have experienced adventure, love, and laughter. We have celebrated victories, and we have wrestled down the monster of defeat, and we have done all in an inextricable bond. Our bond has only grown stronger through thick and thin, and our love and commitment to each other has only deepened with time. Thank you for being the ever-present sunshine that brightens my darkest hours. Your kindness, your wisdom, and your inner and outer beauty continue to amaze me more each and every day. As we celebrate your birthday, I want you to know how profoundly grateful I am for your serene presence in my life. I look forward to many more years filled with even greater laughter and love as we continue on this path together, which God Almighty had predestined for us. May the Good Lord, whom you serve with all your heart, continue to bless you with good health and longevity. Happy birthday, Iyawo Mi! Love always, Bola

Good evening Nigerians - Home and abroad, Today, in unity with my friend, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan @MohamedBinZayed , we have initiated a new era of collaboration and friendship between our nations - Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates. We've also laid a robust foundation for substantial investments in various sectors in Nigeria, a testament to our shared vision for a prosperous future. Together, we are committed to building bridges and fostering a friendship that stands the test of time. As part of our discussions, the following have been reached: 1. Immediate lifting of the visa ban placed on Nigerian travelers by the UAE. 2. Resumption of flight schedules into and out of Nigeria by Etihad Airlines and Emirates Airlines, without any immediate payment required from the Nigerian government. 3. An agreed framework for new investments worth several billions of U.S. dollars into the Nigerian economy by the UAE government, covering multiple sectors including defense and agriculture. 4. A joint, new foreign exchange liquidity programme between Nigeria and the UAE, details of which will be announced in the coming weeks. 5. A commitment to normalize and enhance the relations between the two countries, fostered by the collaboration between myself and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

TINUBU ASSURES INVESTORS OF POLICY CONSISTENCY, RESTATES NIGERIA'S READINESS FOR BUSINESS ...Shell Director Hails Tinubu's Strong Start, Positive Reforms President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured the business community of his government's commitment to policy consistency and better business climate to attract investment. The President spoke Monday while receiving the delegation of the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) led by the Global Upstream Director, Ms Zoe Yujnovic at the State House, Abuja. President Tinubu welcomed the SPDC's offer for more investments in the Nigerian oil and gas sector, adding that such investments are needed now more than ever, to enable Government meet its obligations. The President recalled that attracting fresh investment was "a promise I made personally to Nigerians. Whatever it takes, I will fulfill that promise to Nigerians." President Tinubu reiterated that Nigeria is ready for business, assuring the Shell management and other investors of his administration's willingness to maintain an open-door policy and address their concerns. "We are open for business. We are serious. I give you the assurance of consistency in policy," he said. The President also assured that his government was removing all forms of bottlenecks in order to ensure Nigeria becomes an attractive investment destination. Addressing the President earlier, Ms Yujnock applauded what she described as "incredibly strong start" of the Tinubu presidency and expressed optimism that the "bold" steps taken by the government would renew Nigeria's pride of place as an investment destination. Yujnock said SPDC was willing to ramp up investment in the country especially in the areas of gas and deep-water assets by pumping in billions of dollars. She said Nigeria remains a strategic investment country for the company in view of the long history between the two entities and the prospects held by the county's oil and gas sector. TEXT OF DEMOCRACY DAY NATIONAL BROADCAST BY PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU ON JUNE 12, 2023. Fellow Nigerians, It is exactly three decades today that Nigerians went to the polls to exercise their inalienable right to elect a President of their choice to lead the transition from military dictatorship to a representative government of the people. The abortion, by military fiat, of the decisive victory of Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola of the defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the June 12, 1993, presidential election, up to that time, the fairest and freest election in the country’s political evolution, turned out, ironically, to be the seed that germinated into the prolonged struggle that gave birth to the democracy we currently enjoy since 1999.

I am excited to announce the first set of electric buses in the Lagos Mass Transit Master Plan as part of our increased effort to modernise every sector of Lagos. Thanks to our partnership with @Oando_PLC, Lagosians can expect a cleaner and greener public transportation system. With the ability to travel 280km at full charge, taking into account our unique travel times in Lagos, our electric buses are a game-changer. With an average daily usage of 200km by existing BRTs, there is no need to fear that the buses can stop while in transit. Our new electric buses will not only reduce carbon emissions but will also increase efficiency. This means that Lagosians can say goodbye to high fuel costs and hello to cost-efficient transportation. We shall be running a pilot scheme over the next few months to gather sufficient data required to analyse the operational efficiencies relative to the current BRT buses to further improve our public transport service. This collaboration is a testament to our commitment to creating a sustainable future for Lagos. We understand the need for charging stations to power our electric buses, which is why we are partnering with Oando Clean Energy Limited to strategically place Universal Chargers at public places like malls and gas stations. We also plan to establish an Assembly Plant for Electric Buses in the near future. This is just the beginning of our efforts to transform Lagos into an even smarter city as we continue to increase our fleet of electric vehicles, further modernizing the Lagos transportation system. Join us in embracing the future of mobility in Lagos.
