MtG Design Exercise: What would be an appropriate CMC for the following Standard legal card? 🤔 "Odric's Apprentice Human Vigilance Whenever a creature with Vigilance dies, put a Vigilance counter on each other creature you control. The same applies to Hexproof, Haste, etc.. 2/2"

@yuleballer I’m ok with it because it (the combo I’m think of) needs two correctly costed creatures. So it’s fine.

@Emensmansera I’m also not sure we needed infinite combos in Limited, but I recognize that Foundations is meant to get new players into the meat of the game so I do see the favorable argument, too.

@Emensmansera There aren’t enough characters to list them all, but some highlights: -Retconning Gruulfriends to appease the People’s Republic of Tyranny -Ending the Phyrexian threat with little consequence -Splitting UB and “canon” releases evenly next year -SLD no longer being print-on-demand

@Emensmansera @MamaMagicGwen It's always been the choice of the player dealing damage to you until this update, which now lets you MLD someone if they swing a bunch of weenies at you.

On Discord someone pointed out that Michiko has different text on Gatherer than on the card. Was this a mistake on Gatherer or an errata to the card itself? #MTG #MagicTheGathering

@chiefisdeaf @MamaMagicGwen But why tho? If they make it an opponents choice, the card becomes useless. When an opponent can choose the thing affected the effect ain’t as strong
