This year marks 17 years of working to change the face of power and politics in New Mexico by uplifting Democratic women to run for public office. We are so proud of 115 Emerge New Mexico alums who are currently in elected office.

We need to elect Democratic women and non-binary leaders who fight for equal pay for equal work. Latinas are paid 54 cents for every dollar paid to white men. This is unacceptable. #LatinaEqualPayDay

Today is Native Women’s Equal Pay Day, and we acknowledge the hard truth that a Native American woman earns only $0.50 for every dollar a white man is paid. We must elect Democratic women who will fight to end the pay gap now!
