Emergency Physicians

Great meeting today with Dr. Anthony Cirillo, President of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), to address one of the most urgent challenges in American healthcare: closing the gap between the real cost of emergency care and how Medicare pays for it. We dug into the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule, practice expense pressures, and the cost drivers facing emergency departments as our 65+ population continues to grow—especially right here in Bucks and Montgomery counties, where ERs are the front door of care for so many of our families. As we continue our bipartisan work to stabilize healthcare today and modernize it for tomorrow, this is the necessary work to move the system forward. Real reform comes from following the data, bringing both parties to the table, and turning serious, solutions-driven conversations into policy that makes care more affordable, keeps emergency departments strong, staffed, and ready, and protects the quality of care patients deserve.
