Thank you for sharing this. After getting the opportunity to play the role Maan, I’m learning how much stigma and fear still surround something that should NEVER take away a person’s right to love or to be loved. I really hope that 17th Spring can help open eyes so that everyone will learn to care, understand, and treat people living with HIV with the respect they deserve. If this series can make even one person feel safer, seen or accepted, that’ll already mean the world to me and everyone working on it. #17thSpringSeries

I also have a friend living with HIV. When we first met, he had already been receiving treatment for a few years. He once told me that because of his HIV status, he felt deeply insecure. He rarely allowed himself to move forward in any new relationship and kept holding on to someone who was toxic to him. He knew it was unhealthy, but believed that only this person would accept and protect him. His secret felt safe there. Even now, he has not been able to break free from that relationship. It makes me feel sad and heart broken, because people living with HIV deserve far better care and understanding from the community. That is why with 17th Spring, I genuinely hope people can become more aware and empathetic toward HIV and those living with it. I wish for every HIV patient to be loved in a way that is truly deserving, without the fear of whether they will be accepted. #17thSpringSeries #ChokunAston #GMMTV2026
