The Acolyte is some of the best Star Wars we’ve ever gotten IMO, and I’m so tired of the annoyingly persistent people in my replies trying to get me to stop enjoying it. If you don’t like it, that’s fine! But part of what makes Star Wars so fascinating is that your least favorite thing about this universe is someone else’s favorite. It takes nothing to be respectful. And personally, I can’t wait for next week’s episode 💫

The Jedi were the bad guys in that episode IMO. It appears they went to Brendock out of fear of the witches' capabilities and were spying on them. The witches were just practicing their Force beliefs in their own way not hurting anyone. But the Jedi's Fear brought them there...and apparently something they did during the night of the fire weighed heavily on Torbin's mind. Either they planned on destroying that power generator to cause the Coven's group to collaspe...or maybe they planned to get rid of the Coven completely so that both Osha and Mae would come with them and train as Jedi. Because Osha and Mae would be powerful allies. The Jedi accused the witches of training children...and yet the Jedi do the same thing. It's hypocrisy. The Jedi simply want a monopoly on how The Force should be practiced but that's not how The Force works. The Force is for everyone. Even witches. Just because a group doesn't follow your religion, doesn't mean they're dangerous. The Jedi don't understand how their Fear is making them do Dark Sided things. They believe the ends justify the means. And that's precisely how Palpatine convinced Anakin to turn against the Jedi.
