A disturbing case from 2019 involving a man named Asiwaju has resurfaced online, drawing public attention again. Asiwaju posted images of the girls, mentioning a certain lady named Blessing Osom, threatening and blackmailing him on his social media. He said the false rape attacks were sponsored by his former business partner who is contesting for APC. Asiwaju stated that he met some of the girls on Twitter and they all agreed to have sex with him. They called him one of the richest and most influential persons on Twitter. He lost his mother, who suffered a heart attack after learning about the false rape accusation, which contributed to her death. He tried hard to clear his name by dropping videos and picture evidence to back up his claims. He also posted videos of other women who came out to accuse him of sexual assault, showing how they came to him and begged to be with him, in which they both engaged in sexual fantasies. Asiwaju faced constant bullying, name-calling, overwhelming public backlash, and emotional distress. He dropped a suicide note on his page: “Goodbye. I’ll die soon. I’m gone.” His mutuals, friends, and family tried to talk him out of it, encouraged him to take heart, and tried to clear his name, but all to no avail. Asiwaju tragically took his own life later that same year after making the post.
