This isn't Keir's fault, it's the British media, that consistently fails us, and contributes to the woeful levels of financial literacy we have in this country. It's frustrating! We're a nation of prudent savers, but it's all in cash, that's not how economic growth will happen.

I hate this - There is a difference between people who a deriving their whole income from shareholdings and normal working people having a Stocks and Shares ISA (I don't have a Cash ISA). Have a pension? Guess what its invested in - shares mostly. on.ft.com/4ff92TO

I have been passed on so many parenting books (fab)..my question is how do people find the time read such books when trying to parent at the same time? I feel trapped in this cycle of wanting to learn how to parent whilst actively winging it unable to read up on the methodology.

It’s official … I’m retiring! I’ve made the not so/difficult decision to retire. I’ve had 27 amazing years working in SU’s but the time is right for me to go. I’m finishing at UPSU after xmas & my fab job will be advertised next week.
