Uni just got permission for 926 student bedrooms on campus. If you think this is bad for HMO's, you are wrong. It so they can take in more freshers; and 1st yrs become 2nd, 3rd, and 4th yrs, and we all know where they (perfectly reasonably) want to live. Now and the future.

Rachel Reeves praises Canada and Norway for increasing their oil and gas production… …whilst BANNING new production in Britain. Labour support foreign oil and gas industries more than our own.

This is everything that’s wrong with Labour. They make conditions impossible for businesses to hire people, worse, businesses have to lay people off - especially young people. Then they announce taxpayers’ money to plaster over the very problem they created.
BBC Breakfast@BBCBreakfast

Companies are to be paid grants to hire more young people under new government proposals to tackle youth unemployment. Work and Pensions Secretary Pat McFadden told #BBCBreakfast ministers want to create 200,000 jobs and are pledging £1bn in funding for several initiatives bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

It's worth remembering, when the government complains about so-called "price gouging", that over half of the pump price (55% at current levels) is taxation. The government even charges VAT on the fuel duty - a tax on a tax!
Andy Mayer@mayerandrew

If I ran a forecourt I would: 🤑 Put the cost of taxes on signs by the pumps. 🤡 Next to a picture of the Minister responsible. ⛔️ Who I would refuse to serve. See how long the HMRC ‘price gouge’ survives that.
