I always enjoy my discussions with @JFM and @RyanNicodemus. Much respect for their willingness to take on a topic that feels so complicated and controversial for many people. It's easier to stay cozy in our familiar conversational spaces, but this is how growth happens.

We don't react to what people are actually saying. We react to the political party we think they're representing when they say it. We don't begin with "Is it true or false?" We begin with "Is it liberal or conservative?" And they wonder why our conversations aren't advancing.
