It was Crosby who organized the handshake line. He didn’t want to miss an opportunity to shake Ovi’s hand and thank him for the battles if this is indeed it. Obviously a surprise to Ovi - who maintains he’s really undecided.
They met up and exchanged sticks and jerseys after.

Sources say @Buccigross has signed a multi-year extension with @ESPN. His first day at ESPN was Oct. 28, 1996 and this new deal means the Jiminy Cricket statue for 30-year Disney cast members has been secured. Big deal. Congrats, Bucci!

It’s been stressed to me that NJ parting with Tom Fitzgerald was as amicable as it could be. No interim. Devils search for a new GM begins immediately.
Timing of it happening now definitely puts Fitzgerald in the mix for Nashville opening. We’ll see what develops.

Two injury scares in the West last night, Cutter Gauthier and Cale Makar, but neither appears too serious.
Gauthier won’t travel to San Jose but Ducks hopeful he returns this weekend. Makar timeline still TBD but not believed to be long term.

We’ll miss Torts who was a star on TV and a wonderful teammate, but loves coaching above all else.
