@JoshBertera88 @whopper014 @TyGuy9 @ScoutingTheRefs Josh, I'm not on here to prove people wrong or belittle people. He might have misspoke or misinterpreted something but his rule takes are usually spot on so it's not something that I plan to spend time dissecting.
English

@whopper014 @ESPNRefNHL @TyGuy9 @ScoutingTheRefs Lol you think that? He's asking for accoutebilty and is erase comments that are false. Did you not see that post?
English

@whopper014 @JoshBertera88 @TyGuy9 @ScoutingTheRefs I think we're all on the same page. Tyler and STR's are both good guys.
English

@ESPNRefNHL @JoshBertera88 @TyGuy9 @ScoutingTheRefs I was thinking the same thing when these popped up this morning. Felt like Ty was arguing, but in the end staying the same side of the debate. Ha.
English

@JoshBertera88 @TyGuy9 @ScoutingTheRefs Honestly, Josh I have answered so many questions over the last few days I don't remember the context of this thread
English

@JoshBertera88 @TyGuy9 @ScoutingTheRefs The NHL casebook provides nuance and gives specific interpretations for every rule. Sometimes just reading a rule does not provide proper context. Casebook provides examples.
English

@JoshBertera88 @TyGuy9 @ScoutingTheRefs Not if retiring player is within the allowed distance to the bench
English

@gmg128 @BigBossySoldier They do, but his blade was flat on the ice. Tough to call that careless. That's why they mandate a 2" knob on the stick b/c of inadvertent contact like last night.
English

@ESPNRefNHL @BigBossySoldier Do goalies not have to be responsible for there stick just like skaters?
English

At least #BodyChecking is part of the sport
Butt ending a guy with your stick to another players head isn’t even part of the sport.
@ESPNRefNHL
English

@ESPNRefNHL Thanks. 🤣. Sounds like you think it’s over too.
At least you don’t have to work tonight. It’s a TNT SPORTS Game.
English

I don’t think I’ll be watching Minnesota @ Colorado Game-5 Tonight. It doesn’t look like it’s going the way I’d like, The Pittsburgh Pirates play Tonight, and, since we don’t have a Late NHL Game, I’ll watch Eagles @ Firebirds in The AHL @ 10P.M.

@ScoutingTheRefs @MNHTRN2022 It's a collaboration as far as asking for angles, etc. On calls where Tor decides, there would be no need for refs to see the iPad but they do, b/c they might have something to add. No diff with these, Tor might show something that adds context. Refs have final say on the call
English

@cbsguy63 @PantherPourri No, I'm saying it's no penalty. There are situations like follow through, face-offs, and a goalie playing his position in his crease that do not warrant high sticking penalties.
English

@ESPNRefNHL @PantherPourri So are you saying it’s a penalty? Players are responsible for their sticks regardless if it were intentional or not?
English

Hey @ESPNRefNHL is this a high-sticking penalty by UPL here? By definition his stick hits Slafkovsky in the head while Slaf's head is above the waist, but at the same time he's holding his stick in a normal manner for a goalie.
Matt Drake@DrakeMT
Slafkovsky gets the butt end of UPL's stick, not Power, so that's why they didn't call this one.
English

@BigBossySoldier One judgment call has nothing to do with the other. Different games different officials
English

@ESPNRefNHL so it’s a 5 minute major on Poehling , but not the ButtEnd on McCarron In the Minnesota game.
Got it 👍
English

@ESPNRefNHL @pokerKnight13 @NHL @espn The next time that you give some insight will be the first. Continually flip flopping your opinion based on what they decide on the ice to protect the officials. The entire hockey world hates ESPN’s coverage and you’re the one person always on. Hell of a gig though, good for you!
English

@Hupperware Not about hitting the goalies glove. It's the Buffalo player knocking the stick and blocker to the left.
English

@ESPNRefNHL second player in hits the goalies glove. It's a follow through, but what's that call there?
English

@pokerKnight13 @NHL @espn On top of that, ESPN should be embarrassed having @ESPNRefNHL giving his input on anything. Holy hell, he’s the biggest waste of space on television and that’s saying something
English

@StanleyCup2023 @Bmarch61 You realize I have nothing to do with making the calls, right?
English

@ESPNRefNHL DAVE JACKSON was born in MONTREAL, QUEBEC-He is the same guy that called @Bmarch61 for unsportsmanlike conduct in a GAME 7 against #CanadiensMTL for stopping in the crease and spraying the goalie with ice #BuffaloSabres #ClownShow

English

@BurnerB34R Minor penalty if witnessed, awarded goal if puck hits the stick.
English

@ESPNRefNHL What prevents a goalie from laying their stick in front of the net and then being pulled?
English

@KevinWeekes & @ESPNRefNHL say "no elevation" even though you can clearly see McNabb's skates leave the ice. Good to get that dirty player out of the game. #ANAVGK
English

@TeleRides If you illegally interfere with someone and cause injury then you are liable to receive a 5+ a game misconduct
English

@ESPNRefNHL how can the McNabb hit be a 5 and a 10 when he doesn’t make contact to the head but Manson clearly butt ends McCarron, admits it after the game, and it’s a double minor.
