List/Group/Label is a great vocabulary activity for #ELLs in content areas. This week my beginners sorted words related to the 3 branches of government. They are rocking it!

My #multilingual students did an amazing job recording PSAs about water conservation in front of the green screens yesterday!

All Arabs are not Muslim. All Muslims are not Arab. Pakistan is not in the Middle East. Pakistanis are not Arabs. (There should be a world geography class for all adults, seriously.) #ArabAmericanHeritageMonth

Instant speaking activity with wheelofnames.com - Ss are working on describing the geosphere. Spin the wheel to pick a landform or earth layer, then choose a card & use both words in a sentence, like “a valley is between 2 mountains” #EdTech

Human Impact and Climate Change Unit: Students turned their trash to treasure to lessen our carbon footprint.

My 8th grade students loved visiting @NTHSD219 Niles North HS to meet their counselors and tour the school. The students and staff made them feel so welcome!

Whenever possible I try to incorporate my students’ cultures into our content. Their faces light up when they see their country or language mentioned in our @Kahoot games!
