Dhul Hijjah 010: A DAY IN HISTORY It’s Eid 🎊🎉🎉It’s Celebration Day 🥰🎉🎉 Today is the 10th of Dhul Hijjah, known in Islam as Yawm al-Nahr (The Day of Sacrifice). While the modern world moves through this morning with the rush of Eid prayers and family gatherings, this specific day anchors a cinematic moment in the mountains of Makkah that permanently altered human history: The Ultimate Choice of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and Ismail (peace be upon him). Thousands of years ago, on this day, an elderly father and his teenage son walked into the barren valley of Mina. This was not a routine journey. Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was moving to fulfill a recurring, heavy vision: the command to sacrifice his only son, Ismail (peace be upon him), the child he had prayed for over decades of barrenness. What is most interesting about this moment lies in the conversation. Ibrahim (peace be upon him) did not drag his son by force. He laid out the vision, and asked, "What do you think?" The young Ismail (peace be upon him) did not hesitate or rebellion. He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." As Ibrahim (peace be upon him) drew the blade, in a moment that completely shattered human parental instinct in absolute submission to the Creator, the divine intervention occurred. The knife refused to cut, the heavens opened, and a magnificent ram from Paradise was sent down to take the boy's place. This moment changed in the world. Scholars noted three ways by which this moment changed the world: 1. In an ancient world where human sacrifice was a brutal, where the common practice to appease pagan deities, this event permanently abolished the practice within the Abrahamic tradition. It established a foundational divine law: human life is sacred and inviolable, while livestock is provided to sustain humanity. 2. It redefined faith (Iman) by showing that true submission means willingly releasing what you love most when the Creator calls for it. The entire physical infrastructure of the global Hajj pilgrimage is a direct, living reenactment of this single family's movements and survival strategies. 3. This morning created history's most expansive, decentralized food security program. Every year, millions of animals are slaughtered simultaneously worldwide, forcing wealth downward as metric tons of high-protein meat are delivered straight to the doorsteps of the most destitute and forgotten populations. May the Almighty accept this Sallah Celebration from us as an act of Ibadah 🙏🙏 Taqaballahu Minna Wa Minkum🙏🙏🎊🫂 Allah knows best.

These are our Eid al-Adha Checklist and Sunnah to Uphold on this Day They are in 4 phases; Phase 1: Before Leaving the House 1. Performing a full ritual bath (Ghusl) before heading out to the prayer ground. 2. Wearing your absolute best, cleanest clothes and applying perfume (for men). 3. Delaying eating anything until you return from the Eid prayer to eat from your sacrifice. 4. Ensuring your entire family is ready to come along, including women, children, and even menstruating women who can sit nearby to witness the blessings of the day. Phase 2: On the Way to the Prayer Ground 1. Heading out early to the prayer ground to secure your spot in the front rows. 2. Walking to the prayer ground on foot if you are physically able, rather than driving. 3. Moving toward the Eid prayer ground while loudly reciting the Takbeer. 4. Giving charity to the poor and needy on your way to or from the prayer ground to share the joy. 5. Smiling, showing happiness, and spreading peace to everyone you pass, whether you know them or not. Phase 3: At the Eid Prayer Ground (Musalla) 1. Performing the Eid prayer outdoors in an open field (Musalla) rather than inside a regular mosque, unless weather forces you inside. 2. Avoiding any voluntary prayers (Nafl) before or after the Eid prayer while at the prayer ground itself. 3. Listening quietly to the Eid sermon (Khutbah) after the prayer is completed before leaving. 4. Congratulating your fellow believers with the traditional greeting: Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum (May Allah accept it from us and from you). Phase 4: The Return and the Sacrifice 1. Changing your route on the way back home so you return using a completely different road. 2. Slaughtering your sacrificial animal (Udhiyah) immediately after the Eid prayer is finished, not before. 3. Eating the liver of your sacrificial animal as the very first meal of the day if you are slaughtering. 4. Ensuring that the meat from your sacrifice is divided properly into three parts: for your household, for gifts to friends/neighbors, and for charity to the poor. Dear Mr. President @officialABAT and Governor @seyimakinde , You both failed those children and teachers. You should be ashamed. While many of us are spending this festive period in the comfort of our homes, laughing with family, eating together, and holding our children close, some parents are crying themselves to sleep tonight. Those kidnapped children and their teachers should have been safe. They left home for education, not captivity. Their families did not send them to become victims of a failed security system. Imagine a mother staring at her child’s empty bed tonight. Imagine fathers pretending to be strong while dying inside. Imagine siblings asking when mummy or daddy will return. This pain is too heavy. Too cruel. Too unfair. Government failed those children. Government failed those teachers. A country that cannot protect innocent students and educators has failed its most basic responsibility. These are not just headlines. These are human beings. Families are breaking. Children are traumatized. Parents are helpless. How many more tears must Nigerians cry before protecting lives becomes urgent?

When are they going to recover the people that were kidnapped in Oriire?

Over 200 people kidnapped in Woro, Kaiama, since February 2026 are still in captivity. Over 46 people were kidnapped since May 15 in Oyo State; their teacher wasbrutally beheaded. Ten people were also kidnapped in Yashikira, a town in Kwara North. And some of you are shamelessly saying Tinubu is fixing Nigeria. We are now living in a country where your chances of being kidnapped are being factored into our daily plans
