It is super limited compared to just operating Claude code out of the terminal or via some app that makes it a tiny bit more user-friendly, like VS Code. There’s a learning curve to adopt adopting Claude code and getting used to it but you fall down it pretty fast, especially if someone you know can walk you through the first steps or you follow some of the online tutorials. if you’re interested in going more of a project management and executive assistant kind of direction, DM me and I can send you a link to my tutorial. It’s not yet ready for wide public prime time but having more users try it out and see if it works for them is helpful. But there might be better ones out there— more every day.

Has anyone else found that Claude Co-Work sucks compared to Cursor (on Windows at least)? Everyone seems to be raving about Co-Work, so I'm wondering if there's something weird going on with the security on my computer that bogs Claude down. It is a Microsoft security system.

Excited to share work with @kateorkin @EmmaRiley19 in rural Kenya. We show that adding an aspiration-boosting workshop to cash transfers increased women’s control over resources & decreased intimate partner violence as compared to cash transfers alone. tinyurl.com/3fwuhjyc

Researchers in Ghana explored how to encourage mobile banking use in rural microfinance groups. Results showed that having a group leader endorse the new technology & offering small incentives boosted adoption and savings. Read about the impact evaluation conducted by @Abu_Shonchoy, @EmmaRiley19 & Robert Osei with IPA Ghana and @OISLGhana. bit.ly/43AwV5E

How can mobile banking adoption grow in rural areas? An IPA study in Ghana found that combining small incentives and having a group leader endorse & support the new technology doubled adoption rates and increased savings by 30% after six months. bit.ly/43AwV5E #DigitalFinance #MobileBanking

@ash_craig Comparison tools and making it as easy to cancel a policy as to start one. I think the UK has a good model for this for making it easy to compare and switch electricity suppliers.

Australian insurance companies increase your premium sharply each year (e.g., $100 for a car). Then you are supposed to call to get it put back to about what it was before. It's very annoying, and surely inequitable. What is the best way to stop such behaviour?

@Val_Mueller_ASU I had dengue and only found out when I got back to the UK from Vietnam. I think it would have been better if I’d stayed in Vietnam! The UK doctors spent a week figuring out what I had then were like “oh you’re better now, don’t get it again.”

Has your IRB ever asked for the list of all enumerators involved in data collection & their ethics certificates, when you’re hiring survey firms to conduct a large study with probably >50 enumerators? (& You have provided the firms’ heads’ ethics certificates) I can’t do this 😩

@econhist_allday Although that alone wouldn’t fix the fact that I apparently modified these papers from 2022 in 1985….

@econhist_allday I think something weird happened to Dropbox recently as a load of my files claim they were created in the 1800s!

@danilaserra_eco If it’s too slow you brush up against all the (at the time far away) deliverable deadlines and have to go back to the beginning and renegotiate the contract all over again….

The bureaucracy of grant management at my university (eg, how slow everything moves, if it moves at all, and how many check-ins and follow up emails one has to write) is literally killing me.
