GPA reinforces its position on the enforced use of skorts in camogie. Forcing players to wear skorts is the most bizarre use of power by a governing body. It’s not like they’re asking to play in anything inappropriate. Just let them wear shorts. It harms absolutely nobody.

The @RossaGAA ladies are on some roll right now. After winning the @CorkLGFA junior C final in 2018, the Skibbereen team has now contested five county finals in a row (2020-24), as they've gone from junior B to senior in 2025, after winning the intermediate final today. There were setbacks along the way, but the resilient Rossas always bounced back. They also won Munster & All-Ireland junior football titles in 2023. Five county finals in a row 2020 Cork junior B final: Castlehaven 5-11 O’Donovan Rossa 3-8 – despite 3-4 from Kate O’Donovan, the Skibbereen team came off second best against a goal-hungry Haven team. 2021 Cork junior B final: O’Donovan Rossa 1-15 Watergrasshill 1-7 – Kate O’Donovan kicked 0-9 (3f) and Triona Murphy scored a goal, as the Rossas rebounded to win the county junior B final one year after losing it. 2022 Cork junior A final: Naomh Abán 4-6 O’Donovan Rossa 1-10 – A bad start that saw them trailing 2-3 to 0-0 in the first half left the Skibb team to play catch-up here, but Naomh Abán held off a Rossas’ fightback. Éabha O’Donovan kicked 0-4 (3f) while Fionnuala O’Driscoll scored 1-1. 2023 Cork junior A final: O'Donovan Rossa 4-10 Dohenys 2-5 – Éabha O’Donovan, Emma Hurley, Laura O’Mahony and Kate O’Connell all scored goals in this rampant Rossas win. 2024 Cork intermediate final: O’Donovan Rossa 0-12 Naomh Abán 1-8 – A repeat of the 2022 junior A final they lost, Skibb came out on top this time, rallying from three points down with ten minutes to go before Éabha O’Donovan scored an injury-time final-winning free. And now Skibb are going senior!

Flanagan took home the Player Of The Match award which makes two in succession for the @CorkCamogie full-back line.
