So happy to hear the final Himanthalia elongata survey, which I worked on for 18 months, has been completed! So many individuals have been recorded over a 2 year period. Can’t wait to hear the results!

Fantastic couple of days diving around kelp farm in Cornwall to collect data on carbon dynamics. Beautiful spot despite Cornish weather! Great collaboration between mba, Newcastle, tritonia, Cornish seaweed co and wwf-uk 😎😎😎

🤿 Day 1 diving/snorkling for @MaxineCanvin PhD to find suitable sites for sediment cores to quantify the potential for carbon sequestration at seaweed farms @CornishSeaweed

Today we set up baited underwater camera traps and took samples for gut content and stable isotope analysis to assess if fishes utilise aquaculture sites as a habitat and feeding ground for @SeaweedSoph’s PhD! 🎣🐟🐠⛴
