Fair question. Three reasons: 1.You can’t fix what you can’t see. AI doesn’t tell you it just shipped 3.2:1 contrast or six shades of blue. Deslint surfaces it. 2.Determinism. Asking the AI to review its own output = different answer every run. Deslint’s rules are AST-based — same input, same output, every time. CI-safe. 3.Speed + cost. 30 seconds, local, zero tokens. Cheaper than burning context asking Claude to re-audit 200 lines. Basically: AI is great at fixing. Bad at noticing.
