🚨BREAKING
CATHY NEWMAN: You're striking gas fields in Qatar. These aren't military targets.
IRANIAN SPOKESPERSON: We're targeting US-linked assets.
CATHY: No, you're striking a gas field in Qatar.
IRANIAN SPOKESPERSON: Don't interrupt me. Who struck our gas fields first? We're defending ourselves.
CATHY: But a gas field isn't a military target.
IRANIAN SPOKESPERSON: Then why were ours targeted ?
English

Gakpo is by far Liverpool most frustrating player, barely runs, especially in behind, doesn't track back, doesn't press, he's a slave of his right foot,at leadt try and work hard #BHALIV
English

@pennant83 That's why he coaches Liverpool and you talk about it
English

@SamMcGuire90 @Sofascore We have tried this. Many times. What you have seen is Mo being disciplined, Hugo working harder,an d the team trusting Flo to orchestrate. Mo played like this last year. This year at the beginning of the season, when thjngs went rough, he reverted , which has a domino effect
English

@pennant83 Everytime you're on my timeline , it's something stupid
English

@EmmanuelMacron Why didn't you speak to the people that started all this ?

I have just spoken with Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian.
I called on him to put an immediate end to the unacceptable attacks Iran is carrying out against countries in the region, whether directly or through proxies, including in Lebanon and Iraq. I reminded him that France is acting within a strictly defensive framework aimed at protecting its interests, its regional partners, and freedom of navigation, and that it is unacceptable for our country to be targeted.
The unchecked escalation we are witnessing is plunging the entire region into chaos, with major consequences today and for the years to come. The people of Iran, like those across the region, are paying the price.
Only a new political and security framework can ensure peace and security for all. Such a framework must guarantee that Iran never acquires nuclear weapons, while also addressing the threats posed by its ballistic missile programme and its destabilising activities regionally and internationally.
Freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz must be restored as soon as possible.
I also urged the Iranian President to allow Cécile Kohler and Jacques Paris to return safely to France as soon as possible. Their ordeal has gone on for far too long, and they belong with their loved ones.
English

@Nick___Collins I agree with you. I don't think it's Slot fault, but he's responsible. I do think that these players must look at themselves in the mirror and be ashamed. But he's the coach. If we fail in Champions league too. I think that seals it.
English

When I’m at the match, I get chants going and try to be as positive as possible really. Where others groan, I usually encourage.
But today was like a switch flipping. I was a grumpy bastard who just moaned all game. Still tried to chant but nobody joined in so gave that up too.
Behind me, I noticed my daughter was the same, she’s been going every other week since she was 5. She tried to be positive but in the end, gave up.
That’s how the synergy with the fans and the players is lost, how the identity is lost. Piece by piece.
Some people will blame the players and that’s fair. But when 9/11 players are terrible, that points to something else entirely.
How are all of these players bad at once? Have they all suddenly gone from being class players to this? Or have they been drilled and coached to play a completely different style to what they are used to?
The best performances this season have been when the players played without safety in mind, they went for the opposition and we won well.
It would be a disaster for us to miss out on Champions League football, the other clubs would spend their way out of it but we have always balanced the books. I firmly believe that Slot needs replacing before the game on Wednesday, it won’t happen though. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was still here next season.
During bad spells under Klopp - of which there were many, we had that synergy and identity but now there is just nothing. We see some arrogant fella gaslighting us into believing what we saw wasn’t actually what we saw.
It’s just a game at the end of the day, much bigger things in life but for me, that escape from normality has gone. The LFC manager has always been seen as a figurehead and we just do not have that.
Change is needed. That’s my opinion on it and I respect people have different views. But even people who were like me (against manager changes) cannot be on the fence now 😂
English

@QofAnfield Yes, he was so good klopp tried him in midfield and as centre forward before dropping him as soon as Diogo was fit. Opting to have Jota, a centre forward play left, with Diaz as a false 9 and both rotating.
He was so good under klopp that he reinvigorated under slot last year...
English

To be honest, Gakpo was never this bad under Klopp. Slot is the problem.
Liverpool FC@LFC
Cody’s memories of a special day against Tottenham at Anfield 🙌😍 @KODANSHA_EN | #Ad
English

@LiverpoolZNE So, 2 starters wanted to leave, 1 forward died, the other wanted to leave, The other fullback was in no state to play, thats 5 already. Tell us then how he should have managed that
English

🚨🔴 Joe Cole has questioned Arne Slot for trying to fix Liverpool with new signings despite having won Premier League 😳:
"Liverpool traditionally stick with their managers and it's unusual because there have been massive changes at the club.
I think Arne Slot has got to take some of the responsibility.
When you win the Premier League and start the first game of the next season with four changes in your side, it's a very unusual role to take.
"Because even if you're bringing players in, you have the ability to bed them in because you're Champions, you've got a good team and you don't need to fix much, if anything at all.
I thought he was over-exuberant in trying to get all of his players bedded in, rather than just doing it over the first six months."

English

@WC_LFC_Torres He can still run fast, but he can't move as fast.
Same thing happened to Thierry Henry. Went from 26 goals to 4 THE NEXT YEAR. Had to move to the US.
Messi is still the only one for whom it's the opposite. He lost running speed but not moving speed as fast
English

@WC_LFC_Torres But it does. What I am saying is that his speed, athleticism was his get out of jail free card. Not running speed, speed of movement, explosivity. He had the occasional poor touch, never been a great dribbler etc...his speed made up for all that
English

How much of Salah’s apparent drop off in speed is actually due to an athletic decline and how much is due to us not having anyone that can play a ball in behind for him to run onto from deep anymore?
None of our midfielders specialize in any pass longer than like 15 yards
SimonBrundish@SimonBrundish
Only Frimpong recorded a higher speed than Mo Salah last night...
English

@WC_LFC_Torres Re-watch the Galatasaray game and count how many long balls he gets, first touches he misses.
He's never been a trickster, he just moved faster, that made people back of a little. Now no one does, because they're not afraid he can just flick it and run, which he what he did
English

@WC_LFC_Torres That's a stupid take mate. Honestly , not calling you stupid, but your take is.
It's the exact same midfield as last year. We even added Wirtz to it.
He gets those long balls, and missed almost every first touch, he gets the 1v1, can't dribble past a cone. He's been poor.
English

@Ccrazed2 @AlexTaylorNews @Kevin_Maguire @GMB I once had my cleaning lady refer to her nephew that lives in Spain, married there,no intention of ever returning. That's actually the point Saying she should have left too, guess how she called him? Guess why she thinks she should have left? The country is full of migrants 🤣
English

@Ccrazed2 @AlexTaylorNews @Kevin_Maguire @GMB Oh i know the definition, but thafsnot how the words are used.
No one I went to school with,or worked with, that returned to their countries was ever called " expats" .Migrants.
But the white, british ones that moved abroad. Expats.
Guess where the 1st group was from...
English

"They're UK migrants - not "expats" !"
At last a UK journalist calls it out ! Giving us 5,5 million British people living in other people's countries a "nice" name so you get to keep the negative term for people who do the same in 🇬🇧is total "othering"
👏👏@Kevin_Maguire @GMB
English

@josh_uglyasf I would have popped my balloon, and when asked why, I would have answered because ...NOPE ! imagines her without makeup
English

@AlexTaylorNews @Kevin_Maguire @GMB Migrants are not expats. Expats are there temporarily, migrants are there permanently.
Expats are not relegated to a particular nation, they can be British, Indian, Nigerian, Swedish, American etc etc.
Learn the difference
