Severance (of car parking in Paris)

@prpeju That's weird, you keep saying cars are forbid in Paris and yet you keep saying parking places are needed (even with a photo showing a parking place is empty). You should choose one hypothesis, not defend two incoherent ones !

Avant / Après la récente plantation d'une trentaine d'arbres Rue Gay-Lussac dans le 5ème arrondissement de Paris. Les pavés de la rue avaient été vite bitumés après Mai 1968 (on dirait une légende urbaine mais c'est vrai !), pour les arbres il a fallu attendre 60 ans après ;)

Avant / Après la nouvelle rue aux écoles Rue Croulebarbe dans le 13ème arrondissement de Paris. La rue est fermée au trafic de transit par des barrières aux deux bouts de cette section.

@Tomoreau Les pelouses sont accessibles hors repos hivernal (vous pouvez voir des bancs)

Avant / Après Boulevard Péreire dans le 17ème arrondissement de Paris. Près de la Porte Maillot, le vieux parking sur le terre-plein a été récemment retiré et remplacé par une promenade piétonne.

@prpeju @JorisCizzle @philocomix Your analysis is incoherent. If people really want to use their car, then the disappearance of parking spots in the street should make the demand for underground parking rise through the roof, I mean, through the ground ;) And yet it diminishes too.

@EmmanuelSPV @JorisCizzle @philocomix not lack of demand... they modifying cause of communist rules... Not sure if you understand correctly meaning: "demand" or "choice". Lack of demand is when we have huge streets in cities and tousends of parkings but noone wanna use car.

@prpeju @EmmanuelSPV @philocomix What a pathetic pirouette. You have no clue of the habits of people living in Paris, two third of which don't have a car, in a downward trend. There's an overcapacity of private parking space.

@prpeju @philocomix Hundreds of street sections where there is a school exit has been changed that way, and the election was a landslide victory for the team in chrage, so people see the benefit of having protected school exits instead of car parking.

@philocomix @EmmanuelSPV Not sure if you think about this what you just wrote because sounds like bullshit. On the first pic there are cars so that means people were going there and use that road. Now they removed road and made pavement and now, nobody there. When was this road more needed? Now or then?

Avant / Après Avenue Ambroise Rendu dans le 19ème arrondissement de Paris. Ici le seul changement est le passage d'une dizaine d'années, qui montre qu'il ne faut pas juger l'aspect d'un réaménagement quand les arbres viennent d'être plantés, mais un peu plus tard ;)

Avant / Après le parvis de l’Église Saint-Ambroise dans le 11ème. Le parking automobile de 1970 a commencé a être diminué dès 1971, puis est devenu un parc au fur et à mesure. Le cinéma et le garage ont disparu aussi pour un parc plus tard. Seul un immeuble reste point de repère.

Avant / Après la métamorphose de l'Avenue de Bouvines dans le 11ème arrondissement de Paris. Les travaux ont été terminés récemment.
