We’re building the local infrastructure you rely on every day, faster.
We’ve just launched the Build Communities Strong Fund to speed up the construction of new recreation centres, colleges and training centres, hospitals, and water and transit systems across Canada.
OpenAI may have caused the worst consumer hardware crisis in a decade with purchase orders that were never real.
In October 2025, Sam Altman flew to Seoul and signed simultaneous deals with Samsung and SK Hynix for 900,000 DRAM wafers per month. That's 40% of global supply. Neither company knew the other was signing a similar commitment at the same time. The pricing and terms would have looked very different if they had.
Those "deals" were letters of intent, not binding purchase orders. No RAM actually changed hands. But the market treated them as real. Contract DRAM prices jumped 171%. A 64GB DDR5 kit went from $190 to $700 in three months. DDR4 kits that should have been in oversupply doubled. Retailers stopped posting prices entirely.
The Abilene Stargate expansion just got cancelled because OpenAI couldn't forecast its own demand. Oracle couldn't agree on financing. The partners are squabbling. Bloomberg reported the $500B project hadn't started and no funds were raised to meet the initial budget. Multiple data center buildouts are delayed or shelved.
Now DDR5 prices are finally dropping for the first time in months, and it has nothing to do with OpenAI walking away from anything. Google released TurboQuant on March 24, a compression algorithm that cuts AI memory requirements by 6x. SK Hynix and Samsung stocks dropped 6% and 5% overnight. Corsair kits fell $60-100 from their highs within days.
One company locked up 40% of global memory with commitments it may never fulfill. A different company published a research paper. The research paper is doing more for RAM prices than the entire supply chain has done in six months.

RESIGNATION FROM THE NEW NIGERIA PEOPLE’S PARTY (NNPP)
I wish to formally announce my resignation from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) with immediate effect.
I seize this opportunity to express my profound gratitude for the honour and privilege of serving as the Party’s National Leader and its Presidential Candidate in the 2023 General Elections. As a committed and bonafide member of the party, this was not an easy decision to make.
However, considering the current trajectory of the nation’s political landscape, which calls for strategic realignment, I have found it necessary to identify with another political platform that offers the best opportunity to effectively change the nation.
I extend my deepest appreciation to the National Chairman, Ajuji Ahmed and the entire National Working Committee for their steadfast support throughout my time. I also thank the Board of Trustees, the National Executive Committee, and all levels of leadership across the party — from the ward to the state level, as well as the legacy members of the party and all followers of the Kwankwasiyya Movement for their dedication and commitment to our shared mission.
We shall continue to collaborate and work together towards charting a better and more prosperous future for our dear nation.
Signed,
Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, PhD, FNSE
Former Kano State Governor,
2023 Presidential Candidate,
New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP)

Today, we’re releasing a significant upgrade to our specialized reasoning mode, Gemini 3 Deep Think.
Deep Think is built to drive practical applications, enabling researchers to interpret complex data and engineers to model physical systems through code.
With the updated Deep Think, you can turn a sketch into a 3D-printable reality. Deep Think analyzes the drawing, builds the complex shape, and generates a file so you can create the physical object with 3D printing.
This is rolling out now to Google AI Ultra subscribers. Select the "Deep Think" option in the tools menu to get started.

Our VP of Engineering handed in his resignation yesterday.
He was polite. He said he found a 'once in a lifetime' opportunity at a startup. He wanted to leave on good terms because he's one of our early team members.
I didn't panic. I didn't counter-offer.
I just smiled and said, 'Once a team member, always a team member. You should join our Alumni Network.'
He signed the Alumni membership form to keep his company laptop as a parting gift.
We shook hands, he walked out feeling respected and valued.
Here's what he didn't realize.
In the from, there's a clause written in size 6 font.
Clause 4, Section B: 'Crisis Activation.'
Basically if our server uptime drops below 99.9%, or if our stock dips by 10%, we can legally conscript all Alumni members back into active duty immediately.
If he doesn't show up, his stock options will be voided. It's part of the agreement he signed.
To test things out, I’m planning a scheduled outage for next Tuesday around 2 AM.
Welcome back, Dave.
