A3) Children are often moved to the next car seat stage prematurely based on age, weight/height minimums, perceived level of comfort, peer influences, etc. For optimal child safety, families should maximize the amount of time spent in each car seat stage #CheckBeforeYouChange

A2) When not in the appropriate car seat/restraint, a child’s risk of fatal injury is increased by up to 80%. It is important to #CheckBeforeYouChange because with each advancement to the next car seat stage, there is generally a decrease in protection offered to the passenger
