How g-loaded is AP math? The Project Talent dataset contains a math subtest with questions on topics only taught in grades 10 through 12. Thus, we can roughly gauge the extent to which higher g enables mathematical proficiency beyond 'age appropriate' material. We observe:

Some of these might not accurate due to poor sampling, e.g. predicted decline is 5 in the American NLSY waves, which I consider to be a data source of higher quality. To calculate the predicted decline, I used the formula: Selection_differential / generational_timing * 100 (years) * 15 (standard deviation of IQ) * .65 (narrow sense heritability) Given that the American NLSY waves have selection differentials of 0.14 (NLSY79) and 0.18 (NLSY97) points, the predicted decline is 0.16/30*100*0.65*15 = 5.2 IQ points.

Calculated the magnitude of the differential fertility for IQ in the latest PIAAC data collection wave. Dysgenics is still alive and well, though of negligible magnitude in some countries.

Ivy’s are currently ~130 IQ. The mean PhD is 120, physics 130 - meaning a average difference of 10 points. Adding that to the sum the average Ivy league physicist is about 140 IQ. Polygenetic sources estimate about a rate of loss in mean IQ 1 point every 3 decades. Thus 20th century physics circa 1945 is a 143 IQ endeavor.
