State visits by Leaders are not tourism, and diplomacy is not a fashion parade. Every foreign trip undertaken by a government must deliver measurable benefits to the people, including investments, technology transfer, trade agreements, factory expansion, industrial partnerships, and job creation. During President Trump’s recent visit to China, the American delegation reportedly included a few top government officials, and many of the biggest figures in global business and technology: Consequently, huge trade deals worth several billion dollars including about 200 Boeing orders were achieved. The list of the entourage included 1. Donald J. Trump – President of the United States 2. Marco Rubio – Secretary of State 3. Pete Hegseth – Secretary of Defence 4. Elon Musk – CEO, Tesla & SpaceX 5. Jensen Huang – CEO, Nvidia 6. Tim Cook – CEO, Apple 7. Larry Fink – CEO, BlackRock 8. Stephen Schwarzman – CEO, Blackstone 9. Kelly Ortberg – CEO, Boeing 10. Brian Sikes – CEO, Cargill 11. Jane Fraser – CEO, Citigroup 12. Larry Culp – CEO, General Electric 13. David Solomon – CEO, Goldman Sachs 14. Sanjay Mehrotra – CEO, Micron Technology 15.Cristiano Amon – CEO, Qualcomm 16. Dina P. McCormick – President of Meta 17. Ryan McInerney – CEO, Visa 18. Michael Miebach – President, Mastercard 19. Jim Anderson – CEO, Coherent 20. Jacob Thaysen – CEO, Illumina That is how serious nations approach diplomacy, by aligning foreign policy with economic expansion, industrial growth, innovation, and national productivity. I hope that lessons can be learned from these recent visits comparing them with the President of Nigeria’s recent state visit to the United Kingdom. A large entourage of politicians, aides, and government officials travelled, yet Nigerians are still asking a simple question: what exactly did Nigeria bring home? Which factories are coming to Nigeria? What power, technology, manufacturing, agricultural, or industrial agreements were secured? How many direct jobs will this visit create for Nigerian youths? What investments were attracted? What measurable economic outcomes can the ordinary Nigerian point to? The delegation reportedly included: 1. President Bola Tinubu 2. Senator (Mrs) Tinubu 3.12 governors 4.9 ministers 5.7 members of the National Assembly 6. Over 20 senior State House staff 7. Over 30 security personnel 8. Over 10 domestic staff 9. Several supporters and associates It is not enough to ride horses, wear matching uniforms, attend royal banquets, and release glossy photographs. Symbolism without substance cannot feed hungry citizens. Today, Nigeria is in decline, battling serious insecurity, food insecurity, unemployment, a weakened naira, declining industrial productivity, and worsening poverty. At a time when millions of Nigerians struggle daily to afford food and survive economic hardship, every kobo spent on foreign trips must produce tangible national value: investments, factories, jobs, exports, infrastructure, and economic opportunities. Nigeria needs leadership that is focused less on optics and more on productivity; less on ceremony and more on measurable economic results. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

I can understand why Frank forgave her for cheating & stayed in the marriage. Being a public figure & at his age, he didn't want to be tagged a 2-time divorcee. Men are guilty until proven innocent. Women are innocent until proven guilty. No one would've believed him. End.

I just came for Friday prayers and saw some people comfortably sitting down and blocking the road, causing unnecessary traffic and holdup. I immediately but politely asked them to leave because that behavior is very bad and inconsiderate to other road users. What if there's an emergency? Islam teaches discipline, orderliness and consideration for others not causing inconvenience and obstruction on public roads. We must learn to practice our religion with responsibility and respect for the public. Please...

When the dust settles, his career will most likely take a hit. Nigeria is not exactly the kind of place where being known for sleeping with a popular man’s wife helps the image of an R&B or love artist. That kind of controversy is terrible for the brand.

I work in Port Harcourt. I have a colleague who sold everything he had to put his wife through law school. The day she got her first case in our office on Aba Road I was there. The day she served him divorce papers in that same office I was also there. What I witnessed between those two days will never leave me.

The interior design photography I can verify to you guys with my life. As someone in the industry, aside being an awesome luxe interior designer that she is, I’d always wondered who took pictures for VivaBella, so I asked and found out twas her husband (at the time) Frank. I mean, I like to think I take very good pictures too, but bruhhh! Check his work on her page 👌🏾 Met Frank at ‘The Library Lagos’ one evening (during Germany Euro 2024) where he was having a drink with his secondary school classmates (he was the youngest amongst those Egbon mehn🤣), and after friendly exchanges, I had to chip it in how good his photography was. Finding out he was probably on the divorce process then, makes me feel like I should have really let him enjoy his drink with old friends, instead of the many career questions I was disturbing him with.
TobyWrites@tobyasky

Frank Edoho studied interior design photography for 4 years, so he could support her interior business. He was the one who also asked what she wanted to do, she said skin care or interior, he suggested the interior, and then went to study for 4 years to be her photographer. He also got her first carpenter, and made her his only client. That’s top-tier intentionality.

Kayode to Peter Obi: But you also promised to remove the fuel subsidy, just like Tinubu did. Peter Obi: We already had some food on the table. Tinubu came and told us, “Don’t worry, remove this one, in the evening, I will bring you far better food.” But when evening came, Tinubu himself did not show up. Not only did he not bring the better food he promised, he took away the little food we had left on the table and left us with nothing but hunger and empty plates. 😂

The first project I managed in Shell was a $750K that I got because no one in the room wanted it - it was too small for them. We were upgrading the Firewater System in an old oil producing platform seating in 3,000 feet of ocean water. By the time we were done, the project ran into over $1M and it was such a success that it put me on the radar. If you are trying to break into a new role, sniff around for the job no one wants and take it. Like a deadly striker all you need is a half-chance to score. Take those half-chances.
