I haven’t shared this but I feel the time is right. 10 August 2023, the day after women’s day and a day I never thought would come. 3 months ago my partner and rock was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 23, this was a hard route to navigate and we quite frankly didn’t know which direction to turn at the time, our world had fallen apart in a second. Today, 7 December 2023, signals the half way mark through treatment and all I can say is how proud I am to be yours and with you through this journey. The uncertainty and not knowing where your next step takes you and your journey yet still putting one foot in front of the other and moving forward is inspiring and I wish to have just 1% of your determination and persistence in my tests to come. I have learnt so many lessons from you and your journey and am proud to be next to you on this road. I can confidently say if we switched positions I would not be a fraction as strong as Emily, You really are a soldier. The perfect quote to sum up the journey so far, as your number 1 fan, and for the next half of treatment is “When the going gets tough, the tough get going”. You think you are strong, until you meet someone stronger. I look forward to the day this cloud blows over and the sun shines on us again and I have no doubt we will see that day sooner than we think. FUCK CANCER, YOU MESSED WITH THE WRONG WOMAN💝
