AN APOLOGY IS NEVER ENOUGH
Agnem has finally apologized, and that matters. Acknowledging wrongdoing is a step forward, one that we recognize, even if it came 87 episodes late.
But an apology does not exist in a vacuum. It does not undo the coercion, the manipulation, and the damage that has already been inflicted. More importantly, it DOES NOT REPLACE ACCOUNTABILITY.
The question now is what comes next. Because if the narrative chooses to treat this apology as redemption, if it shifts toward sympathy without consequences, then it risks reinforcing the same pattern it once clearly called out.
This is not just about one character saying sorry. It is about what the story chooses to uphold after that moment. Accountability is not just words. It is consequence. It is justice. It is ensuring that the weight of the wrongdoing is not diminished for the sake of convenience.
An apology without consequences is just another form of escape. [MD]
