Digital ID rollouts aren't about convenience - they're about infra control.
Aadhaar in India leaked millions of records. Argentina's entire system dumped online. Now EU's wallet, UK mandates, US "misinfo" tie-ins...
The pattern is clear: centralized identity = single point of failure (& surveillance!)
The problem is centralized infrastructure by default
When governments mandate identity checks at the network layer, VPN providers comply or shut down. That's not a flaw - it's the design.
Decentralized VPN routing changes the equation → No central server means no database to subpoena, no company to pressure, no choke point to mandate ID checks on.
Privacy isn't a feature you ask permission for.
