Hugely concerning that the owners of the Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery in Lincolnshire have crashed into insolvency, putting hundreds of jobs at risk at the energy conglomerate. The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism leaves UK refineries at a disadvantage when trading international fuels, with only one remaining North Sea facing refinery left in the UK. Pleasing to hear the Energy Minister’s support for the affected workers, and acknowledging that the Government will be held to account, but concerning that he would not be more specific about maintaining fuel security long term.👇
