I just watched Bam's 83pt game, and the criticism is very valid It was a great game. But getting into the 70s and 80s was 100% manufactured Bam had an incredible 1st qtr, 31pts on great shooting, 5/8 from 3. After that its clear it was just about scoring more points, not good basketball. He went 10/27 FG and 2/14 from 3 in the final 3 qtrs, shooting 36 FTs. Heat international fouled about 5 times and missed FTs up like 30 in the 4th to get more possessions. The # of points scored does not equal how good of a scoring performance it was

@Shane00 83 is more than 81, everything else is just opinions. Some player scoring 40 in a playoff game is more impressive than Kobe's 81 against a bad team purposely not doubling in the regular season

Bam's 83pt game was a great game, but no where near the level as Kobe's 81pt game Efficiency and context matters. I wouldn't put Bam's game in the top 10 modern scoring performances I'd even say Luka's 73pt game was better than Kobe's 81pt game
