More than a dozen Labour MPs defied their party whips and voted with @LibDems in favour of UK rejoining a #CustomsUnion with the EU. As a result, the #LibDem Bill passed the House of Commons with a majority of one, after the Deputy Speaker cast the deciding vote in its favour.

Thank you @GideonJAmos of the @LibDems for raising this today with the housing department. There are far too many unsafe buildings going up, with zero accountability for those who built. However @AlexJJNorris manages to simultaneously acknowledge the problem extends across the country, while also claiming there is no problem. The reality is as @dannybster from Agar Grove and many others know - there is no effective remedy. We’ve gone from 25% steel tariffs, to 0%, up to 50%, and now back to 25%. We’ve all seen this routine before. Trump causes chaos, Nigel nods along, and British workers pay the price. It’s time the government got serious about trade with our European and Commonwealth allies.
