@bobbyfijan 3 of then: Missing typologies (not towers or sprawl, but low to mid rise terrace, row, townhouses) missing demographies (couples with 2 kids ie 3 br that are affordable) and finally, spatially: middle ring suburbs, under-utilised infrastructure, declining or aging population.

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of John Laws, a towering figure in Australian radio whose voice resonated across the nation for more than seven decades.

Real progress: for the first time in a decade, new homes are being built faster. Better supply chains. More workers. More homes getting finished sooner. Look, the housing challenge we're facing are really serious and have been brewing for 40-years. But here's the truth - the only way to make homes more affordable is to build more of them. And we're doing exactly that.

Americans can’t afford to buy their own home in Donald Trump’s housing market. New data show that the average price of buying a home reached the highest price recorded in August — of any year — ever.

Well done to @ChrisMinnsMP and the @NSWLabor team on these critical housing reforms. There’s no silver bullet on housing — all three levels of government need to take big steps to change our national housing system. But if we want to build more homes, more quickly, the closest thing we have to a silver bullet is radical state planning reform. It’s politically difficult and when state governments step up and take it on, they deserve our praise. These planning changes are in the best tradition of nation-building Labor governments. Most importantly, they’ll result in many more young people across NSW getting into a home of their own.

First home buyers, your options are about to expand in a big way. From 1st October, we’re increasing property price caps for our 5% Deposit Scheme and removing income caps. That means even more homes will be in reach for even more first home buyers 🏡

@bobbyfijan We agree!! All too often in inner parts of our cities, like Sydney, Australia, finding that elusive affordable ‘3rd bedroom’ is like finding the Golden Ticket in the story, “Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory”!!

My mission is to build housing for Families so people can have kids and stay in the City. I believe the primary reason that people are delaying having a baby is because the "cost" is that you have to move … out of your neighborhood or out of your City I am building and designing for families in a *specific* life stage: From the time a couple makes the decision to go off birth control -> until their oldest is school age I'm focused on this time because before that moment, apartment developers can build great product at scale. And after that time, the decision for a family to stay in a neighborhood or not is determined by the family's choices on education. But in that specific time period, a great home for a family that already knows and loves the neighborhood can be a life changing product.
