@DrMBoyd I think English teachers/depts have to have a long think about the purpose of assessments and lobby their schools for a different approach. Personalised targets of any type take so long.

Ah, marking exam papers without having to highlight/annotate/provide targets/ plan for extensive DIRT is a) refreshing and b) sooo much quicker. Want to take workload/ well-being seriously? Look at your marking policy.

🦜 Picked this up! Initial impressions? It’s a reader’s nightmare; there’s no quotation marks for speech, the chapters are hideously long and it jumps around in time without much obvious indication. BUT it could be one of my books of the year! Have you read it? 👇
