A Well-Deserved Elevation: Celebrating the Strategic Leadership and Selfless Service of Alhaji Ibrahim Kabiru Masari The recent elevation of Alhaji Ibrahim Kabiru Masari to the position of Special Adviser to the President on Political and Other Matters by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a moment of great pride for many of us whose lives he has touched in meaningful and lasting ways. For those of us who know him closely, this recognition is not surprising. It is a deserved acknowledgment of years of quiet sacrifice, strategic leadership, and a firm and tenacious commitment to service. Before this elevation, he served since 2023 as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters. His new role clearly reflects the confidence President Tinubu has in his political judgment, his calm approach to complex issues, and his ability to navigate Nigeria’s dynamic political landscape with wisdom and discretion. But titles alone do not fully explain who Alhaji Ibrahim Kabiru Masari is. In a political space where many people seek attention and recognition, he stands out for a different reason. He is a strategist whose leadership is built on humility, sincerity, and loyalty. His impact is not measured by noise or publicity, but by the trust he earns and the lives he quietly transforms. Personally, I can say without hesitation that I have never seen a man who lifts people the way he does. Over the years, I have witnessed him help countless individuals move from very humble beginnings to meaningful positions in life. Many who once had little hope or opportunity today stand as confident and respected members of society because he believed in them. What makes this even more remarkable is that he does this without expecting anything in return. For many of us, he is far more than a political leader –he is someone who lifts destinies. I consider myself one of the many people whose life he has positively influenced. Through his encouragement, guidance, and steadfast belief in people, he has opened doors that once seemed completely out of reach. His leadership has given hope to those who had none and created opportunities for people who were never expected to rise. Beyond his political abilities, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabiru Masari is a deeply religious and trustworthy man. In the years I have known him, I have never seen him betray the trust placed in him. His integrity is strong, his confidence inspiring, and his courage admirable. He is also a leader who believes in results. Whenever responsibility is placed on him, he pursues it with seriousness, focus, and a relentless commitment to delivering results, always within the bounds of the law and with respect for due process. Despite his influence and achievements, he remains remarkably humble. He listens, he reflects, and he always seeks ways to uplift those around him. His leadership is not simply about authority; it is about mentorship, encouragement, and genuine concern for people. Many individuals who today occupy respectable positions in society can trace their growth to his support, guidance, and belief in their potential. As Nigeria gradually moves toward the political horizon of 2027, it is reassuring to know that within the inner circle of President Tinubu are leaders whose loyalty, wisdom, and strategic thinking remain steady and dependable. The elevation of Alhaji Ibrahim Kabiru Masari to the position of Special Adviser to the President on Political and Other Matters is therefore much more than a promotion. It is a recognition of a man whose quiet strength, loyalty, and dedication have helped strengthen political stability while positively shaping many lives. True leadership does not always seek the spotlight. Sometimes it works quietly behind the scenes — lifting people, guiding decisions, and helping build a future that others will benefit from.

And, just now, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has approved the sum of ₦5 billion to support traders affected by the recent fire outbreak at Singa Market in Kano State. A timely intervention to help victims recover their losses and rebuild their businesses. Thank you, Mr. President.

Beliefs are probabilities, not identities. The rational mind doesn’t defend priors, it updates with evidence. Wisdom is calibrated confidence. Evidence over ego. Bayes’ Theorem is so logical. Maths isnt just powerful —it’s a philosophy of life.
Math Files@Math_files

Bayes’ theorem is probably the single most important thing any rational person can learn. So many of our debates and disagreements that we shout about are because we don’t understand Bayes’ theorem or how human rationality often works. Bayes’ theorem is named after the 18th-century Thomas Bayes, and essentially it’s a formula that asks: when you are presented with all of the evidence for something, how much should you believe it? Bayes’ theorem teaches us that our beliefs are not fixed; they are probabilities. Our beliefs change as we weigh new evidence against our assumptions, or our priors. In other words, we all carry certain ideas about how the world works, and new evidence can challenge them. For example, somebody might believe that smoking is safe, that stress causes mouth ulcers, or that human activity is unrelated to climate change. These are their priors, their starting points. They can be formed by our culture, our biases, or even incomplete information. Now imagine a new study comes along that challenges one of your priors. A single study might not carry enough weight to overturn your existing beliefs. But as studies accumulate, eventually the scales may tip. At some point, your prior will become less and less plausible. Bayes’ theorem argues that being rational is not about black and white. It’s not even about true or false. It’s about what is most reasonable based on the best available evidence. But for this to work, we need to be presented with as much high-quality data as possible. Without evidence—without belief-forming data—we are left only with our priors and biases. And those aren’t all that rational.

Most of the fire outbreaks in Singa markets and many other places are linked to poor and unsafe solar installations. Not only Singa many homes silently unreportedly burnt to ashess due to this poor solar installation. It is time for the Federal Government, through NEMSA to fully enforce regulatory authority over solar installations nationwide. There should urgently be strict enforcement of electrical standards for all solar systems, mandatory training and certification of solar installers, and of course proper Inspection and certification before any installation is commissioned. Fortunately, electrical installation and techical standard regulation already falls within NEMSA’s mandate, it’s there in the Electricity Act 2023 as amended. The real issue is weak enforcement by NEMSA, we are hopefull the newly appointed NEMSA management team will wake up the agency. Electricity generation is not a trivial matter; it requires strict technical and safety standards. While hundreds of thousands of Nigerians are fast moving off-grid, many of the available installers lack formal training, most installations are not inspected, and substandard panels and inverters continue to flood the market —we are absolutely not Safe. SON alone doesnt have required technical expertise to accertain technical standard. I propose that NEMSA should establish inspection desks at ports and border points to ensure all imported electrical and solar equipment meet technical standards, this will not only save lives but also attract huge revenue for the nation. Nigeria’s solar expansion must not come at the cost of our lives and property. Our sympathy and hearts go out to the Singer markets for all the losses caused by the fire outbreak. Time brings perspective, while experience brings clarity. Many of our judgments in the past were influenced by limited exposure and being less informed. It’s a fact that; statesmen such as Kwankwaso, and many other elders of his generation, deserve absolute respect –far beyond what we expect from younger figures. As much as I respect AKY, I also deeply respect Kwankwaso, hold him in high esteem, and regard him with great awe. Before accusing Governor Abba of betrayal, we must first, sincerely ask ourselves a few critical questions: 1- Did Abba repeatedly persuade Kwankwaso to join him in moving to the APC? Yes, more than required. 2- Was Abba the first to show interest in joining the APC? No. Kwankwaso was the first; he even started negotiations. So why did Kwankwaso eventually decide not to follow Abba to the APC? The answer is simple: Kwankwaso was not personally offered what he demanded for himself, not what he demanded for Kano. It is partinent to note that both Kwankwaso and Abba made similar demands for Kano State. The only difference is; Kwankwaso’s demand included personal ones –a fact he repeatedly admitted publicly. On many occasions, Jagora openly stated that; it was not that he had no interest in the APC, nor that he dont want to join the party; indeed, he want to, but, his concern was what the APC would personally offer him. What offended Oga the most was that, the APC chose to negotiate with AKY directly rather than with him. To him, AKY was “too small” to sit at the national negotiating table. In his view, Abba should be confined to state affairs only, while national negotiations remain exclusively for him, leaving Abba and others confined to local level. We are privileged to know about the long list of Kwankwaso’s demands, which contains some personal ones. When you compare AKY’s demands with Kwankwaso’s, the only difference is that; Jagora’s list contained personal demands. I am not here to attack anyone, nor am I trying to depend AKY because we are now in the same party. I am only stating what I was opportuned to see and knew firsthand. Baffling and bewildering as its, with all these in mind, i am still struggling to understand how this situation can be described as Betrayal. We should please try to explore history –particularly what transpired between Kwankwaso and Rimi, and many other politicians of that era, who first gave Kwankwaso a platform. Only then we can truly understand where exactly the concept of betrayal fits the most. Allah ya sa mu dace, ya hada kawunanmu, ya wanzar da sulhu da zaman lapiya tsakanin Kwankwaso da Gov. Abba Kabir Yusif da kuma duk masu sabani. Engr. Ramat, PhD

This is clearly one of the more difficult decisions His Excellency has had to make, both personally and politically. It’s obvious it wasn’t taken lightly. Anyone paying attention can sense the level of thought, restraint, and resolve that went into it. In moments like this, only the person involved truly understands the weight of the choice. What stands out is the calm and dignity with which it was handled. There was no bitterness, no accusations, and no unnecessary noise. Just a quiet decision made with respect and the courage to move forward without resentment. That alone says a lot. I have always respected His Excellency Abba Kabir Yusuf’s focus on governance, even during challenging political moments. My hope is that he remains focused and undistracted, because Kano has already seen the benefits of steady leadership, and there is still more work ahead. May Allah SWT continue to guide and protect him, grant him wisdom, and allow Kano State to benefit positively from this period of change. Ameen.

It is deeply painful and sad in many ways. I can’t imagine how a normal human can carry weapons and turn them on innocent children until they are all dead😭. How can a human not animal wiped out an entire family, killing defenseless mother even as she begged for her life and that of her children, killing her in front of them, then going on to kill the innocent children one after another including the one who could barely differentiate left from right, who doesnt even understanding what is going on and what is the life itself, you still decent on those innocent child even when they begged for mercy –an act they know nothing about. Haba, what cruelty can be worse than this? I cant even imagine slapping a 3 year old child. I am completely heartbroken wallahi. I commend the Kano State Police Command for their swift efforts in apprehending the criminals, and we call for a thorough and speedy investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice so that it will serve as a deterrent to others This is a tragedy far worse than banditry. I never imagined that such cruelty could exist among us. A heart capable of this kind of evil is not formed overnight. It grows from prolonged exposure to violence and drug abuse. Drugs do not just destroy people physically. They destroy the mind, the human in them, and conscience. They strip away empathy and make violence feel very normal. Almost every major crime troubling our society today has a link to drug abuse in one way or another. These is the reason many countries take the fight against drugs very seriously, even to the extent of imposing capital punishment. It’s time for Nigeria to do same. If we can tackle drug abuse, stop it from penetrating our borders and circulating freely, we will surely reduce 90% of these crimes including terrorism and banditry which keep destroying our society in no uncertain term. This is not an exaggeration. Until we face this problem head–on, we will keep losing innocent lives, God forbids. Allah ya gafarta musu, ya bawa mahaifinsu da dukkan Al’umma hakurin rashi. Extreme religiosity is often less about fear of God and more about hiding one’s true character. Some retreat into small religious spaces to escape this highly competitive world. Within such confines, food, women and social respect are at least guaranteed.

PUBLIC STATEMENT Engr. Abdullahi Garba Ramat Clarifies His Position and Reaffirms Respect for the Senate Leadership My attention has been drawn to reports linking me to statements or actions said to be against the Deputy Senate President, His Excellency Senator Barau I. Jibrin, and the President of the Senate, His Excellency Senator Godswill Akpabio, CON. I wish to state clearly that I have no connection whatsoever with such claims. I maintain deep respect for both leaders and for the entire Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. From the start of my nomination as Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Senator Barau Jibrin has been a strong supporter. He was the first to call me after the announcement and has consistently offered guidance and encouragement. When my report was briefly stepped down, he personally led me to the Senate President, who received me warmly and commended Mr. President’s youth-inclusive appointments under the Renewed Hope Agenda. At every stage of the process, I was treated with respect and fairness. Senator Godswill Akpabio encouraged me to stay focused and assured me that I could always seek his guidance whenever needed. In the same spirit, Senator Kawu Sumaila, a well-grounded and highly knowledgeable legislator, and Senator Rufa’i Hanga, known for his wisdom and calm leadership, offered kind words and practical advice that guided me greatly. I am also thankful to Senator Bashir Garba Lado, whose thoughtful assistance helped ensure that all my documentation and formal procedures were handled smoothly. Their collective goodwill and mentorship were truly appreciated. The Senate Committee on Power was fair and supportive. Its Chairman even assisted with printing my credentials, and none of the members made any request. I was also impressed by the humility and wisdom of Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe and others, whose conduct strengthened my confidence in the unity of our nation. Because of these experiences, I am deeply concerned that some people are now using my name for their personal agendas. When I first saw these misleading claims, I immediately posted a disclaimer and personally called several individuals appealing for calm. Sadly, a few went ahead to hold press conferences and public gatherings supposedly on my behalf. I wish to make it clear that I never authorized any person or group to speak, protest, or issue statements in my name. The only defense I needed was at my Senate screening, where I was fairly and successfully cleared. I appeal to everyone involved to stop immediately. To my genuine supporters, I thank you sincerely but urge you to remain calm. I am not in any dispute and I need no public defense. If these actions persist, I may be compelled to seek redress through lawful means to protect my name. I remain grateful to Mr. President, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the Senate leadership for their fairness and support. I reaffirm my loyalty to the Renewed Hope Agenda, my respect for the Senate, and my commitment to peace, unity, and good governance. Signed: Engr. Just finished reading The Search for Unlimited Energy by Overman. It’s a fascinating book that brings together alchemy, discipline, and modern reflection on human potential. What I found most striking is how it shifts the idea of energy from being only about technology to something deeply within us. Truly a thought-provoking -highly recommended for those seeking depth beyond the ordinary.

Today, I received Proff Abdurrahman Sheshe –the CMD and the entire management of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital on a congratulatory visit in my house here in kano. We discussed how to ensure steady and affordable power for the hospital. I explained NERC’s plan to roll out the PCAF (Power Consumer Assistance Fund) under the Electricity Act 2023, which will cushion tariff impacts for schools, hospitals, and low income consumers. Meanwhile, I encouraged the management to cut costs through energy audits, phasing out inefficient equipment, and metering staff quarters and shops. On our part at NERC, we will continue engaging with KEDCO to resolve the disputes quickly and prevent future occurrences. Our duty remains clear; to protect the rights of consumers while maintaining investor confidence, by fostering an efficient, transparent market structure and investor-friendly ecosystem

Blockchain is fast driving a global shift, redefining how we perceive and transfer value. Cloud computing is rapidly evolving into the central repository of data, while AI sifts through vast amounts of this data to identify patterns and correlations and drive decisions with precision beyond human. In no time, many professions; economics, engineering, medicine etc will be overhauled beyond conventional boundaries. Established systems will completely be disrupted, toppling longstanding centers of dominance. The message is clear: Read, learn, and be informed, even at the most basic level, soonest, it’s going to be survival of the fittest. Forewarned is Forearmed!!
