People who engage in tribal kanging are often unaware of basic facts. Manipur has one of the worst geographies in the country. Since these Meiteis live in an intermontane valley, they can't set up industries. There is no river to take away effluents from factories unlike Bengal, Assam or Odisha. Also, they have a limited amount of fertile land, with them controlling merely 7% of the state's area. The only feasible sectors the state can have are tourism + transport. If you threaten to ethnically cleanse other communities, good luck to developing your economy.

The population of Bengali speakers in all of Manipur is merely 30k Even in this, some 16-20k will be Kanglus Of the 10-14k remaining Hindus, 9k live in Jiribam alone. There are less than 4k Bengali Hindus in the Imphal valley but these tribal kangers want to ethnically cleanse them too.
