The Gambling Capital of Asia: Macau. A mini break-down. The good, the bad & the ugly. 🧐 1)Some men assume we’re hookers (me + 2 other girls). The looks we get say it all 🤔 I have not been approached, but one of my friends was. 2)The minimum bets are crazy, some tables start at $100, $200, or even $300. 3) There are free drinks, but not alcohol. Most are drinking tea - WTF 🤨 4)Photography is strictly not allowed. I really wanted to post a picture of me at the blackjack table, but I got told off and had to put my phone away 5)They’re incredibly loud, not from the slot machines, but from the people! The speaking volume is off the charts. 6)The atmosphere feels quite tense. I wouldn’t call it overly friendly (I don’t mean the staff, they’re lovely). It’s the gamblers who have a very different vibe. 7)Having said that, the casinos themselves are absolutely stunning inside. The interiors are beautiful. 8)Smokers are everywhere, in the toilets, restaurants, at the tables, bars… literally everywhere. It feels like almost everyone is smoking. 9)There are a lot of escorts, it's very noticeable; Russians, S. East Asians. Some of the women here are beautiful. Very glammed up. 10) Unlike Mainland China - tipping is expected in the casino's. Heading to a nightclub tonight .... hmm ... not too sure about this 🤡
