@Glennithin He had the concept as a RE movie that only would've been retooled as an original project if his pitch had been rejected. I don't think that approach, which is very common among directors/writers, diminishes his passion for the franchise

@EnriquePrieto96 When the director says we would have made this exact movie with or without the RE name, it means it didn't need the RE name and isn't an RE movie. It is just a movie with the RE name slapped on it.

Resident Evil won't stop getting adaptations, I think fans can survive one that doesn't borrow characters and iconography from the games (which the other movies have done)

@EnriquePrieto96 The funny thing about Wings VS Sunrise is that Sunrise won the award equivalent to best picture at the time so Wings and Sunrise basically tied but the Academy later went on to retroactively consider Wings the sole winner which is such bullshit.

Wings is a good movie but Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans is my winner from that year.
