I can understand the desire to turtle-up, get our defences up, and wait for the next market cycle. But! I’m afraid (very honestly) that we need to be proactive now, and not wait around, as we might not make it to another cycle in the top 10 or even top 20. Draper in particular is an opportunity that won’t come around again. We do this now as a community and ecosystem, or we bleed out and declare we’re not open for business. I’m sorry if that comes off as harsh - but that’s my honest opinion. We need to be more decisive here. We need to seize these opportunities. ADA isn’t at $1.20 anymore - let alone $3 - and we may never get back there unless we show we’re a serious chain with incredible potential. So we MUST take ourselves seriously and deploy capital today. For example ETH and SOL, respectively - at different times - looked like they were both on deaths’ door. But instead of “waiting it out”, playing it conservatively, or praying that fundamentals would win out, they went all out when they had the lowest possible valuations. And through grit, capital deployment, and entrepreneurial spirit they climbed up to dominate. Alternately, those chains that choose conservative approaches usually choose death. Please, let’s not do that! 🙏 Be careful of course, but let’s spend the needed capital to be ready to dominate in the next cycle.

Remember me terrorising all of you about voting for the increase in MEMUNITS? yeah. i know i was annoying, but: I am VERY HAPPY to report that 85(!!) transactions are now onchain since enactment of the increase memunits GA, that would have been impossible to be submitted before the change. Each of these 85 txs paid for more than 14'000'000 memunits - that was previously not allowed. Still insanely cool to me that we just "switched that on"! 🤯 here an example: apparently a Hydra Deposit, which budgeted for 16.5m memunits and paid 2.03 ada in txfees. A CHONKY BOY! Not interested in arguing who is right or wrong, but here's some things that would fix this: -Make the NCL a parameter instead of an Info Action -Vote in an extra CC member -Make the Constitution more clear Focus on improvement, not attacking each other.

Net Change Limit Status The ECC team recently discussed the status of Cardano's Net Change Limit (NCL) and have determined that there is currently NO active NCL. This means that we will be required to find the treasury withdrawal governance actions currently on-chain as unconstitutional. The previously active NCL (gov_action169kllwhfmp488je5x5rwvufd08p8sztdcf0ghf5sp6ey2gnjdwaqql47xry) ended at the conclusion of epoch 612. While 2 governance actions were recently submitted to establish a new NCL, neither have met the criteria necessary to be considered ratified. While the Info action titled "Net Change Limit (Epoch 613 to Epoch 713)" (gov_action1m3xx08yv788vfxqh6nfvrjtvmqpwezsy0ggaczctkyjmttc2wmxsq4jsr7q) did meet the 50% DRep approval requirement, it did NOT meet the constitutionality assessment threshold by the Constitutional Committee. The latest NCL governance action titled "Net Change Limit of 300 Million ADA for Epochs 613–713" (gov_action1wwjwkg2g0qwr0mehey9r8gwn6qz3r28wl6wdl2s75kfmpy8j87tqqtft9tp) did NOT meet the 50% DRep approval requirement.

Screenshot below shows Hannah (our AI Research Coworker) hiring 5 different agents from 5 different companies, paying them with Stablecoins on Masumi and then using their outputs to create a consolidated report.

@adanorthpool It's tricky. Because ultimately you do not want to be compliant with the formal specs; but with the *actual implementation*. Ideally, the specs and implementation should be aligned. And that's precisely what testing helps us figure out: does this work how we think it works?

The hard parts of building a Cardano node isn't really the development of its many parts. It's the conformance. Making sure that you build the right node. The one that will match the behaviour of the existing Haskell node. The one that will not put the network at risk.
