Last week, New York Times best-selling author Sheila Turnage visited our Grade 4 students for a special presentation and hands-on writing workshop. What an inspiring and formative experience as we continue nurturing our Grade 4 writers and their love of storytelling ✍🏼

Rae Turberfield ’28 earned first place in the Individual Exhibit category at the National History Day regional competition for her project, “Red Lipstick Revolution,” which explored makeup and the shifting status of women in the workforce during World War II. Way to go, Rae 👏🏼

Big snaps for our Grade 2 Poets! The timeless words of poets like Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, Shel Silverstein, Nikki Giovanni, and more came to life at our Grade 2 Poetry Slam last week. With confidence and creativity, they took the stage and showcased their learnings 👏🏼

Throughout the month of February, we've celebrated Black History Month across both campuses with meaningful opportunities to learn and reflect. It has been a powerful month of learning, growth, and shared celebration across our community!

Recently, alumni from many different class years made their way back to Red Gables Campus for an Alumni Happy Hour. Laughing, sharing memories, and seeing old friends made for the perfect evening together 🧡

How do you remember your childhood fairy tales? In our middle school’s production of "Fairytale Courtroom", two notorious villains took the stand while the audience served as jury, deciding whether the stories we all know and love were missing a few crucial details ✨

Last week, Ms. Wickes’ Grade 4 class welcomed friends and family for their performance of “The Not So Mysterious Disappearance of Cinderella”. In this laugh-out-loud whodunit, characters from beloved fairy tales become unlikely suspects as they set out to track down Cinderella✨

Throughout each division, students celebrated the Chinese New Year with interactive experiences such as making dumplings, designing lanterns, practicing calligraphy, and hosting parades for their peers. What a meaningful and engaging way to explore Chinese culture 🎊

Although we weren’t on campus during Holocaust Remembrance Day, our community took time at later dates to gather, reflect, and remember. Through reflection, storytelling, and shared learning on each campus, we remembered, and we continue the responsibility to never forget.
