@PE_Spathi Ah yeah I see what you mean there, we will have to see how bad it really is but at least for the 500 “highly engaged players”, even if 5-10 people play it several times throughout the month it seems to fulfill the requirements. I think the BIGGEST problem is ad players dont count

@EnviousDevelops I agree that it's good that one unexpected side effect is that brainrot cashgrabs are effected more than games that try to aim for older audiences. The bad part comes in when trying to launch new games now if you don't have a large following, it's getting harder to do.

What exactly was the plan here making it so that no one under 16 can play new games until they get 500 engaged users over 16? Did Roblox forget that most of their top earning games are games made for young children? Welp, good luck everyone!

@PE_Spathi I can't really say too much from the developer POV since I haven't published a game of my own rather through others, I have seen people complain about the requirements but looking at the games that they are complaining about (brainrot cashgrabs) I don't entirely mind it

@PE_Spathi In reality we do see a good portion of players in higher age groups(a lil weird but yeah), like it isn't a bad update its just requirements were not thought out and especially since not every 16+ user wants to verify themself. I can see the decline in brainrot so ill take that 😭

@SurferRBLX Idk how to really feel about the whole topic, I mean I can't exactly blame Roblox for the demands of the states despite them neglecting other platforms that do the same. I can see a little bit of potential from the updates, just needs to be fleshed out except they don't do that.

I honestly think that if Roblox ever started seeing a serious decline, they’d revert changes before the platform actually collapsed. There’s way too much money tied into it for them to just let it die out. Personally, I don’t think we need to worry about our jobs anytime soon at least not for the next 10 years.

Just had to post this on here, I have an incredible amount of patience but I have definitely found myself getting frustrated with some feedback 😅 It’s so important to understand context before making a comment, which now in days may seem too much to ask for on social media. Anytime I mention BrawlDevs tutorial, I am using HIS scripts that HE teaches. The scripts I post are exactly what I have learned on that tutorial. I have also mentioned a few post back that while I am finishing up my day 100 game, I am just going back and finishing the tutorial series from BrawlDev. So this may be why it seems like I’m slow, or that I still look like a fresh beginner even after 3 months of consistently learning. Even so, my progress is my progress. So PLEASE, I know this is too much to ask for… but for those with true common sense, PLEASE understand the context before you make a comment.

Day 90 of learning how to script on Roblox! 👀✨ I'VE REACHED THE 3 MONTH MARK!!! 🥳🥳 Today I learned about drag detectors, which honestly this was one I was dreading about learning. I felt like it would be too advanced, complicated, and it just wasn't something I was interested in or planned to use. BUT WOW! It was actually SO MUCH more simple than I thought!! I had no idea dragging parts was just something you can set up in the properties tab. I thought there would have to be a lot of math and cframes and mouse clicks, etc... which of course there a probably several things you can script with this but this was ultimately so easy to learn. In this script, I'm just writing detections whenever I drag the part. The model in this video is supposed to be a drawer haha. Credits to BrawlDev's tutorial!
