Davy Jones’s intro was pure flex on the CGI artists part. You have real human right next to a CGI face which is not recommended because it usually makes any CGI flaws more noticeable and you have source of light that flawlessly lights both the real human and the cgi face at the same time. I’m don’t know if the light up the real actors face while shooting the movie and then timed it to match the added CGI later or if they used computer effects to light up the actors face later but it is impressive none the less.
