@TradableAstro Great analysis. Thinking we either bounce here or we’re in for a bigger flush
English

Today was the date I have been waiting for since January. 3/19.
Here is everything that happened today & what may next. 🧵

Tradable Astronaut@TradableAstro
Three months ago I said sell hard into mid March. Tomorrow is that date. 3/19 And today the largest bullish flow I have seen in a while just printed at the lows. Here is what I am watching. 🧵

@Equ1ty_Engineer You’re gonna have to give me a lesson on options brother.. Only understand the 0DTE gambling 🎰 instead of anything logical lmao love to see the evolution
English

@nsftrades If you can predict movement in the chart then you can really profit off strategies that require very little of it. Look into selling credit spreads.
English

@Equ1ty_Engineer Makes sense, that flexibility is what caught my eye.
Coming from futures, I’m used to needing movement so the idea of profiting from no move is interesting. Definitely gonna look into that more
Appreciate the insight and keep it up, Seems like you’ve been crushing it!
English

I think they both have their place. When I first started I didn’t fully understand the flexibility options allowed and was just buying long calls and puts so theta was always a bitch.
But now that I’ve dove deeper into them and started to understand them more I think options are the superior instrument to trade. You can profit from movement or no movement. Huge moves or just general drifting. I plan to stick with them for now after trading futures for so long.
English

@Equ1ty_Engineer This is nice.
Been heavy on futures but feel like I’m missing out not learning spreads. If you had to restart, what would you dial in first? I really want to start growing my portfolio aswell
English

@Equ1ty_Engineer like today i had a bullish spread at literal top at 6650 ish and still managed to make $18 lmao
English

Initially I was scared of the time decay for options but watching @Equ1ty_Engineer, it looks like paying premium for time (expiration) for more forgiving delta deviations and utilizing futures/prop to maximize delta might be the way to go.
English

@tradershekki And that’s the probability of profit with 0 technical edge. Throw in some market structure and levels or whatever you use and your edge amplifies
English

@Equ1ty_Engineer yeah i think thats what optionplays was saying too. dont get fooled by negative rr on credit spreads because the probability of those being in profit are usually 60-80%.
youre giving up profit for security.
English

@tradershekki Same bro. I’m learning there’s easier ways to profit than trying to predict every move in the market
English

@Equ1ty_Engineer thanks for the insight. going to try to utilize more tools to make money
English

Depends on where you structure them too. Both are usually bought and sold OTM. But credit spread doesn’t have to move much at all and can even go against you and you still make money. So it does seem a lot more forgiving. I’m def trying to master these and find my groove cuz it’s been 100x less stressful than trading futures in this garbage
English

@Equ1ty_Engineer just looking at the difference between BE on debit vs credit, i see why people like credit more
English

It depends on your outlook for the underlying. Do you think we’re gonna get a huge move soon? Or do you think it may take time to play out.
An ITM credit spread is the exact same thing as an OTM debit spread. That would be for a stronger directional bias. For something you thing will hold support/resitqnce but not necessarily make a huge move an ATM credit spread or slightly OTM credit spread is the way to go.
English

@Equ1ty_Engineer okay yeah i do like spreads, but finding the right spreads is real skill i guess. My first spread was last year PLTR short and just cause I chose some weird spread, I made so little >:(
going to use spreads for directional positioning and future for directional scalp
English

@Equ1ty_Engineer ah so BE where retest might happen and if it goes higher from there, then trade is invalidated and you lose your max loss not bad.
