@LLowther07 Yes, it's worth sharing. It does offer more of an individual responsibility view. The principles the sorts of values that underlie those responsibilities.

@EquityLiteracy Thanks for the reply! Is it still worth sharing, or are the literacy principles more helpful? I’m glad we still looked at it because it frames the work as my responsibility, esp as a White person. Folks are wrestling with their own discomfort which can be a good thing.

@EquityLiteracy : I’m curious about the 10 commitments of equity literate educators —how you came up with it, where we can find more info about each point. Our staff read each of the points out loud at PD yesterday and now there are some good thoughts and questions!

@LLowther07 Generally, our goal is to move toward deeper understandings by addressing ideological sticking points that undermine equity commitments, making sure we're doing the most transformative version of equity, avoiding high-optics, low-impact approaches that dominate schools.
