In short, periods come at the wrong time due to a lot of factors other than pregnancy - PCOS, RED-s, nursing, etc. If practiced safely, access to Menstrual Regulation could give menstruating people control over their bodies in ways that men have never had to consider. (7/7)

If women could choose to induce their period a few days earlier each cycle, they could in theory time their cycle better for rare target events (like the Olympics), reducing the negative impact that an otherwise very beneficial natural cycle can have on performance. (6/7)
