10 days until I graduate college… 🤍 After my first year of undergrad in 2019, I had to leave school because I couldn’t afford it. At the time, I truly believed that chapter of my life was over, and that I wouldn’t be able to return to school. I spent the next few years working full-time in healthcare, slowly saving up enough money to give myself another shot. In 2023, I finally reached that point and was fortunate enough to be accepted into my dream school, Marquette University. Now, three years later, I’m graduating cum laude (3.65 GPA) with a degree in Psychology and additional academic focuses in Neuroscience and Biomedical Sciences. I’m also preparing to apply to graduate school and was fortunate enough to receive a job offer for immediately after graduation. This means so much more to me than just a degree. It represents the years of uncertainty, the setbacks, and the decision to keep going anyway. Not even a cancer diagnosis in my second-to-last semester could stop me. As cliché as it sounds, if you’re willing to put in the work and believe in yourself, you really can turn things around and achieve what once felt out of reach. #WomenInSTEM #Graduation #MarquetteUniversity #ClassOf2026

Wow, my daughter just text me that the airline asked for 5 volunteers to get off the plane for $1200 free lodging and a free flight tomorrow. The problem was Weight on the plane. A family of 5 took that amazing deal.
