Things are progressing between the #Giants and CB Cor'Dale Flott, per sources. Optimism there that something could get done soon. Flott has options, but #NYG want to keep the ascending CB.

The #Yankees handling of Jasson Dominguez needs to be studied. He was brought up in September of 2023, a dead season and after starting hot he needed TJS. If he didn’t need TJS is he the LF in 2024 and they never acquire Alex Verdugo? It’s very possible but he did and then had an oblique injury and was a non factor in 2024. With Verdugo and Juan Soto gone in 2025 you would have thought an OF spot would be given to him even after the acquisition of Cody Bellinger but that was not the case. He didn’t get the Anthony Volpe treatment and the Yankees allowed Trent Grisham the opportunity to outplay Dominguez. The Yankees for two years have told you he needs to play more baseball and he became a bench player in 2025 and will be the 4th OF in 2026. They’ve already cast him as a guy that can’t play defense and can’t hit right handed. They nicknamed him “The Martian” because of his out of this world talent and now he’s been relegated to a bench role at just 22 years old. It is possible he becomes a starter in 2027 after Grisham departs but the club doesn’t feel Dominguez is a CF and is being the everyday CF really the best role for Cody Bellinger? Which also brings into question what are they doing with Spencer Jones, who is 24 years old. With everything I’ve discussed here, the Yankees should trade him and allow him a chance to play everyday somewhere while he still has some trade value and sign a guy like Harrison Bader who is more equipped at being a 4th OF type.

Sounds like John Harbaugh & the Giants might take this deep into the night tonight, more likely tomorrow. Things are still OK. Hang in there. Still a lot to review in contract. John & Joe Schoen have gotten along. Can't see this unraveling. Both sides know way too much at stake.

Would Aroldis Chapman ever play for the Yankees again? “No way. Not even dead. If I were told that I was being traded to New York, I’d pack my things and go home. I’ll retire right on the spot if that happens. I’m not crazy. Never again … I dealt with a lot of disrespect there.” (via @SwingCompletoBB)

CC says that passing on Manny Machado was a bigger mistake than passing on Harper. Agree or disagree?

ACTUALLY INVESTIGATE BRIAN WALSH DUDE HOW THE HELL IS THIS NOT A CATCH?????

I was interviewed for this a couple years ago. It's a project that has been in the works since after Saquon Barkley tore his ACL in 2020. Should be excellent because it wasn't always obvious he'd get back to being the No. 1 player in the NFL.

Couldn't agree more. I don't care one bit about fairness. Give me SDP/LAD, BOS/NYY, CHC/MIL six times. Don't need to ensure the Rockies and Rays play every year or whatever.

@HerbyHanson13 I literally refer to him as the most talented player in baseball Reverts to a stats based argument to try and refute me lol

Idk what’s worse, the people who line up 4 hours before first pitch for a bobble head or the fact that adults can even get them in the first place. Giveaways should be for the kids. Embarrassing what it’s become

Aaron Boone on Aaron Judge, via @BryanHoch: "I don't think we're going to see him back to throwing like he normally does at any point this year." Giancarlo Stanton expected to play RF on Tuesday.

This is the dumbest argument of all them. What is the Giants record with Dexter Lawrence? Or Andrew Thomas? Or Brian Burns’ career record? Want to dump them all, too? No. You try to collect great players.

BREAKING: Outfielder Roman Anthony and the Boston Red Sox are finalizing an eight-year, $130 million contract extension, sources tell ESPN. The deal, which is pending a physical, includes a club option and will keep Anthony under team control through 2034.
