Ich habe nicht wirklich das Gefühl im Schweizer Furry Fandom irgendwie Anschluss zu finden. Es hat so viele U20-jährige, die ganz andere Themen haben und in anderen Phasen vom Leben stecken. Auch sonst vibe ich irgendwie mit keinem so recht :/ (Anwesende ausgeschlossen :p)

I moved to Germany recently. and one of the things that struck me very bad is the ammount of furries using SO MUCH AI in everyting they do. like don't you wanna support artists?? you're killing one of the main things about the fandom. there's literally people that text-- 1/4

@cbrennec @CK____Hessen Damals gab es ja noch ganz viele. Aktuell gibt es nur freiwillige. Und die will man am besten hinterher auch zu Berufssoldaten machen. Ergo vermeidet man solche stupiden Arbeiten und vergibt diese extern.

@CK____Hessen Als ich damals meinen Grundwehrdienst geleistet habe, waren wir selbst für die Sicherung zuständig uns mussten Wachdienst schieben. Entlohnung ca. 450€ pro Monat. So billig ist kein Wachdienst.

Eine Farce die nicht in Worte zu fassen ist. Aber Weltweit für Sicherheit sorgen wollen bis zum Hindukush. 🤡

What you actually meant to exclude or judge are right-wing extremists, religious extremists etc. Especially with stuff like christians or right-wing people, you usually don't even notice them if they don't have extremist views.

Germany: packed dance floor, full fursuits, everyone just vibing. USA: half the room skipped the suit and showed up like it’s a fetish night instead of a dance. Same fandom, completely different priorities.

@greaseyote @tigsford This kind of tolerance is also mostly about private life. At work, I’ve had casual talk with a colleague about their sex swing at home. But that doesn’t mean we would walk around with it in public, except maybe at certain festivals. There’s a right time and place for everything.

@greaseyote @tigsford Well.... We have a monthly meet at a BDSM club... 😅 There’s plenty of sex in private settings too. The puppies host a dance called Animalz in the Berghain canteen (and are overall a bit more kinky). Also most furry organizers focus more on public community events like walks.

A trip to Thailand with friends isn’t unrealistic to do. The villa from the video was $18,350 for 5 nights. Among 20 people that’s $917.50 a person, not including flights. Honestly not a lot more than a con you’d have to fly to

@BrekWoof Also. Prices are constantly and strongly raising since Corona and constant things like the Iran war happening world wide add to this. While I enjoy to have a safe space while being in the Fandom, the reality doesn't stop running. We can't ignore the effect it has on us.

@BrekWoof According to my experience, this is a complaint every convention gets, even the biggest ones in Europe which grow rapidly. If you compare it to a normal vacation a convention is usually cheaper. Many Furs don't go on normal vacations and are missing the reference frame.
