@EmperorBigD I was surprised how jarring it was when I watched Dragon Ball all the way through last year. I've read the manga countless times, but was always resistant to watching the anime because of the filler.

Son Goku (Adult) Toei Animation Staff Sheet from 1988. This was the first time the anime staff had to draw him as an ADULT, which was probably jarring for many. Historic.
